    Hey ,

I just moved into the Lucan area and am looking to join a gym, the only one i know of is Liffey Valley Fitness, the big glass building at B&Q.

Has anyone, or is anyone a member of it, what's it like at peak times and rates?

    Anything better in the area??

    Thanks!

Joined yesterday, 200 euro for off peak time: Mon - Thurs 8am til 3pm, weekends any time I like. He did offer unlimited usage for 300 euro but I hadn't enough money. I like it, it's clean and bright. I only use the pool so somebody else will have to tell you about the gym.
There's a new gym in Ballyfermot (not much farther than LVF) that you can pay by the week, 20 euro. Depends on your needs I guess.
    Hope this helps.

You should prpbably check out the gym in the Clarion beside Liffey Valley too. Son Vitae i think is the name of the place. Know people whom say it's fairly nice yet somewhat pricey though.

its a fine gym with a great free weights area and loads of cardio machines however there are quite a few nackbags in the place who seem to train in posses. Awful stink in the mens changing/shower area, but overall its very good value for money (€400 if u pay up front)

Weights floor is a dream for lifters usually although since I've joined back I've noticed that they're seems to be a shortage of plates at peak times. A lot of people working in groups doing all the big lifts. Other than that a good solid gym. Cardio floor is grand too if that's your thing.
