I'm with Westwood, they increased the monthly fee 2 years ago because of high costs, etc...has anyone come across gyms reducing the fee now?

    Hi Johnnygolf,

I'm in westwood too, I was pissed when they increased the fees. I'm still only paying as a student so i didn't get the full whack of the increase but its still annoying.

Not sure about prices decreasing anywhere. I'm wondering is it worthwhile trying to renegotiate the price. I'm going back to study in Sept and don't want to be paying 55 a month. I might tell them I'll pay one lump sum up front if they reduce the price.

    currently 55 X 12 = 660 euro

I'm might go for something like 450/500 euro

I'll search around another few gyms first to get a price on them so I can back up what I'm asking for (provided I come back with favourable prices!).

Anyone have any experience on negotiating prices? (I'm not highjacking this thread, just adding a question in which might be relevant to you :o sorry)

I'm up for renewal this month, I might mention it to them tonight and see what they say.

JJB's have dropped their annual membership from €450 to €360, not many in the country though.
