    really even in this weather:eek::eek::eek::eek:

If you aint done the work by now, then it's a bit late! Don't study too much as you are better off relaxing and getting a good night sleep. The Junior Cert exams are easier than they make out, so you will do better if you go in there with a fresh head rather than a tired one. Relax and enjoy!

Yup they dont call it exam weather for nothing.

The best weather is always the first 2 weeks of summer aka leaving cert and junior cert exams.

**** but still will be worth it in september when we get our results.

If you havent done much I would be really worried If I were you.

Wow, you study for hours for your Junior Cert, earn yourself a half hour on your computer, and you spend it talking about . . . the Junior Cert . . .

    Congratulations!

Hey, I thought I'd get that sort of reply:

    1. If you study for so long, why is your spelling so bad?

    2. "theres such thing as doing two things at once on a computer lik???"

First of all, capital letters! Don't forget that in the exam! You need to upgrade your spelling, or it'll spell fail. As well, that wasn't a question, so why post three question marks? (I just posted one. Very sufficient.) I that was a hereditary question, it was a very weak one.

Any other work you'd like me to correct for you? I could be your study guide! Not really, that was a joke, I wouldn't be able to work with someone like you.

Personal attacks? When I said I wouldn't be able to work with someone like you, I meant anyone doing the JC.

No personal attacks there. Do you wish to take this further. I was helping her (I assume its a she, due to the "lik???" part of her post.)

Dont tell people to be worried :)
and People who are studying so much ..Why are you on this ?
Dont make sweeping statements . Different methods work best for different people and being worried won't change your grade.Plus it definitely isn't the end of the world to get a bad grade in september .

Wow, grammar Nazi much? Who cares if you can spell. This is a forum, not some english class, jeez. It doesn't matter how you spell, as long as it gets across. lik i can talk like this and u stil get me, its easier 2. Sounds to me like you have no friends :x

Anyways, answering the question, it all depends on you. We don't know how much you know, only you do, so gauge how much time it'll take to learn stuff. With me, I still gotta memorise all the theorems, and that could take me a good 2 hours, so i'm gonna get to work on that now and brush over it, then tomorow i'll go into it deeper, so it's more fresh in my head for the exam.

With history, it's pretty easy! Just memorise the short answers which are pretty fun, then the other question is just reading the paragraph and understanding it. The only hard bit is part 6 which requires loads of writing, but if you enjoy History, it'll be easy! Good luck, and get working :p I find it so hard to study cause i'm a lazy bastard, but hopefully you aren't :p ****ting it about Maths P2

Uh, I don't talk like that, but i'm just saying some people abbreviate words and stuff, and they shouldn't get flamed for it :x Just saying why act like a back-seat moderator when he isn't? Just came on this thread to talk about unrelated things then left.

Well I'm not good at spelling.. want to crucify me for not using capitals either? what if i had dyslexia or something, that comment could have really hurt my feelings! (vflhps' comment btw). I don't know what your getting at saying stuff to us when we take one letter off the ends of our words when he (vflhp) is the one who's using personal insults.. Loopoo I'm totally with you on this one!..

Actually you can't use lazy spelling on Boards. It is in the forum charter :D

Anyways, it was a joke to start off with, and everyone took it too far. For Gods sake people calm down!

laoisbabe2k9, it was just a joke, no personal attacks were intended, so I apologize if you took it wrong. For all the rest, back to study people! (Joking :o)

Too true, personal insults are not on. Same way typing "still" with only one L is just pointless. Instead of tapping L twice you tap it once? Why bother? Makes sense on a phone but not on a full sized keyboard.

so lets lik lve de txtspk 4 de fones nd keep de prpr eng 4 de prpr kbrds alri nd lets not turn dis 2 far off topic ri?

Anyway, I study for about a half hour in the morning, if I'm not busy during the day, I'll open a book, and for about two hours nightly. Unfortunately no study tonight, as I'm recklessly going to a concert (WOTW: Stage) and I didn't realise the date until April, after buying the tickets in December. Silly me

just relax when you get home from the exam ... i dont know about anyone else but im knackered after those 2 1/2 hour exams
have some food and lots of water and watch tv for a bit
maybe at about seven just read through your hardback and decide what timings you will use in the exam. be familiar with the papers

youre not gonna get much done the night before and you'll just get stressed if you try ...

Oh yeah. When september comes. When you come back to school for transition year, and get ready for the *important* exams which you'll encounter 3 years from now.

    /disregard

Wow. What a rebel you are.

Op, disregard these two. The correct amount of study is the amount *you* choose to do. If you want to do well, then study until you know the course for each subject (goes without saying). Obviously, the more study you do the higher grade you'll achieve.

But in reality, you dont have to spend all but a half-hour of your time studying each night to do well in the J.C., lord knows, i didn't!!.

It might not seem like it now, but these exams will not effect your life in the slightest. If you fail a subject, the worst that'll happen is you'll be put in a pass class next year. If you put the work in, and talk to your principal/teacher you can be moved right back up to honours. Thats honestly the worst case scenario.

Do the amount you're comfortable with, but just dont expect A1s with no study at all.

PS. For the love of god, type in a normal font size.

What about people who don't want a doss year and are going onto 5th year?
2 years to an exam which will probably shape what you do with the rest of your life. No one wants to repeat. You can either put in your work in 5th year and 6th year and get good points or do nothing at all and repeat and waste another year of your life.

I know guys who did fook-all during 5th year, got 530 plus in the mocks and are staring down 600 points in august.

And at any rate, what difference is studying the night before your J.C. exams going to make to your L.C.?.
