Eating after cardio

I usually do cardio in the mornings on an empty stomach at a reasonably low intensity, I was just wondering should I eat directly afterwards, in terms of maximizing fat loss?

    Hi Des,

I have read that a high-protein meal should be eaten after cardio. Muscles are very much damaged during cardio (as well as doing weights) and protein is needed straight-away to repair the tissue and build it up stronger.

Yes eat/replenish fluids immediately after- your burning fat with the intake of oxygen during your cardio-if you dont replenish yourself after a workout your body begins to think its under attack and begins to hoard your carbs as fat and burn muscle to keep going, i.e. starvation mode! Get the carbs in and get the protein in-i use a R.A.M after a workout and get some almonds in 30 mins after-that works for me- mightnt for u?
