    Wrote these while I was bored in work today;

    Children's paintings don the windows;
    crude caricatures of how they see the world.
    All bright colours and smiling faces.
    An innocent lost as I
    sit here, berating them,
    unable to admit that
    I couldn't do any better.

    Time only gets slower
    when you're waiting for something.
    It's as if the clock can tell
    and slows down its ticks
    in an act of rebellion.

    .. maybe I should just replace
    the batteries? ...
