Well I'm probably different to others here as I'm only starting out and I'm quite unfit, but I find 3 days in a row is the max for me, my body just feels too tired on that 4th day so I need to rest.

2-3 days rest per week I say.

I do six days per week, but I alternate from days when I just run, to days when I do weights and other types of cardio. Mostly, thats fine, but if I push to hard on any of those days, I get drained. To be honest, I do get weeks when it catches up, so I probably do too much, and should do 5/6 days on alternate weeks, or at least take two rest days in a row sometimes. If I have an event I do take a few days rest beforehand to recharge, but because of my limited time other than that I tend to train whenever I have the a half hour to spare, which means most days.

I just thought Id mention so youd know what not to do as well as whats recommended. :p

If I feel my reps are lower than normal in a workout I will finish off with negatives, which I find quite easy to do.

Weekends are usually rest days for me (because i work weekends).

I never do the same muscle group 2 days in a row.
