Wouldn't be a bad idea... TNA can bring him in and bring in Ole Anderson and the two of them can shoot on Vince McMahon week after week!
    Ratings baby! ;)

Have you ever heard an Ole Anderson rambling?
Besides, The Outlaws are so 1998!

Wouldn't he be so 1986 or there abouts?

I can see Kennedy showing up in TNA, I remember reading that he is good friends with Styles and Joe so I can see him going there.

Interesting thing is going to be what happens if he crosses paths with Bob Holly.

Out of curiosity, why can't he use Kennedy?

I know it's not his real name, but do the WWE own any fictional names, even if the wrestler created them himself?

It's sort of a grey area: some wrestlers sign away the rights to the name they created, very few don't (like Raven, for example).

Cheers. Pity bout silly things like this - feel it kinda stiffs the wrestler - has to build a new persona from scratch (in a sense)

Pretty much, if a wrestler copyrights and/or trademarks a character PRIOR to WWE (or any other company for that matter, it's their own intellectual property unless Vince has bought it (ie, The Dudley Boyz), which is why Christian was still able to use Christian Cage in TNA, as he was working with that name prior to joining TNA, however the Captain Charisma logo and name could not be used.

Raven was smart enough to keep that name for himself prior to jumping to WCW in 1998, which is why his name was untouched.

However if Vince gives you a character, it's his and he can do whatever the hell he likes with it. And even a slight workaround with towards it and Vince's boys will not hesitate throwing a cease and desist letter towards you. Ask Ed Leslie about it, he went through about ten thousand workarounds (the barber, the butcher, the clipmeister, brother bruti etc). John Tenta also suffered that fate, in order to work around Earthquake, he tried using Avalanche, but Vince vetoed it.

    Messy business altogether.

Question: Why did he not just use "Christian" instead of "Christian Cage?" Or was it just a TNA rebranding attempt to try and differentiate him from the WWE product?

I'm not entirely sure, i do have a feeling that was Christian's own doing as he was trying not to rock the boat any further as he was still trying to trademark the "Captain Charisma" name around that time, and seeing as Christian Cage was his original ring name prior to WWE, adding a name wasn't going to harm him.

That's mere speculation on my part though, so don't take it as gospel. :)

    A work?

I was away for a few days and one day I had a conspiracy in my head.

Kennedy was on RAW and he called out Orton saying he was after Ortons title. Randy Didn't look un-impressed. A "Phantom" wrist injury was reported and Ken was released. Not Ken Anderson but Ken Kennedy. Then news comes out Randy was not Happy with Ken and may have been involved in the firing. Ken goes online to post a video showing his wrists are okay.

I started thinking maybe its a work and they will this will be a storyline. Randy got Vickie to Fire Kennedy. Ken would come back and cost Randy his Title.

    Then I woke up:p
