Forgive me Father, for I have sinned... I have agreed to go to Coppers tonight!

Not been in years... so can't remember what the dress codes like? I'm used to Fibber McGee easy going policy. I go with a pair of jeans to show off my buns, nice tight t-shirt to show off the guns and a delightful pair of converse trainers.

    Must I upgrade for tonight?

Any other tips? I am a happily taken man, so no nurses for me, thank you!

Ah, another thing... I don't drink.

I fear it will be like entering a warzone and wishing I was out of my mind on something, to forget the horrors....

You're going to Coppers and you don't even drink? Bloody hell, good luck with that!

Anyway there has never really been a dress code in Coppers, no runners afaik (goes without saying for most clubs anyway) but other than that wear what you like.

Always be sure to wear a DUBLIN FORUM tucked into a DUBLIN FORUM over a nice pair of DUBLIN FORUM and you'll be grand. ;)

    FYP.

Any good decent clubs that are actually worth going to won't care if you're wearing a pair of runners.

The shoes in your pic would be fine anywhere I'd say.

AnonoBoy, I know what you're saying about anywhere worth going being ok with runners, but the fact remains that some places will turn you away if you're wearing very casual trainers. Depends what kind of place you want to go of course.

I don't drink and I still frequent Fibbers on Thursday nights!!

Girl I know is bringing all her culchie friends out in 'the big smoke' and has asked me to tag along too. Because - and she knows this - I'm awesome.

A check Ben Sherman shirt, a pair of stonewashed wranglers, black leather belt with oversized buckle, suede slip on's and a smile that says I'm five times over the legal limit.

Once upon a time it was the off-duty cop/nurse/visitng GAA team venue of choice. Now all that has moved to flannerys and Coppers has turned into a bigger, nastier, overpacked version of somewhere like D2 or Rios. Absolutely jammers with UCD students most of the time.

(OP: If you can stand up, have two arms and two legs and aren't wearing your finest ''John Terry, Made in London/Bottled in Moscow" t-shirt you're in. Be aware that it is, in fact, one of the lower levels of hell).

I've only ever been refused from a one club for runner and that was dandelion and I wa delighted.

Well... You... Hmm no let me think.

Nah I can't - enjoy coppers sober dude, did it once - wouldn't wish it upon any man/woman/beast (These all frequent this establishment in the ratio of 1/.001/1).

Went to coppers two years ago, stayed sober, had a great night but stayed near the door. Nobody came on to me all night so I must be a right minger.

Boggers come up to Dublin to go to a bogger club.

Dear god those things are horrendous. The **** is wrong with a good pair of ****ing boots these days ? Every dickhead seems to be wearing a pair of tan shoes that look like flippers. You can see where the foot ends and then theres about an extra 2 inches thrown in. Look like clown feet.

You should buy a pair of those shoes and your feet will be covered in dirt all the time.
