Splitting lifts over week

    What effect would spliting a 5x5 routine over week have on recovery ? SO say you are doing Squat,Bench deadlifts on a 5x5 basis close to your 1rpm and doing each of those exercises one day a week, would doing say 2 sets of same weight 3 times a week make recovery easier? While cutting could doing this help and allow you fit in more HIIT?
