A strap-on, some lube and call him your bitch.

Tell him he has no choice in the matter, he'll get the message ;)

    Naked. Whipped cream. Pole dancing.

A few thoughts come to mind.

"I was talking to the Internets and...we think it's time to marry you."
    "You're pregnant."
"Marry me and I'll unlock the cellar."
"Marry me and I won't force you to finish writing the novel."

'Will you marry me' usually works.

What makes you think he will say yes?

Also will you buy your own engagement ring?

Will you present him with an engagement ring?

Do you want to be known as the girl who proposed?

I'd wait until he is just about ready to cum one night & ask him, chances are he will say yes not knowing what he is agreeing to.
You have yourself a verbal agreement there missy.

Spread you legs and ask him to retrieve the ring from your growler with his tongue and lips.

If he can't, find a better man... or panda

If it happens to go to court try to get the case held in front of Judge Judy.
She likes her verbal agreements or as she calls them 'verbal contracts'.

hide a ring in your gee and ask him to finger you....

    ..with his ring finger.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,536 ✭✭✭Brimmy

    Do it with a ring.

    A cock ring.

She's not asking where should she go on the honeymoon!

But really, asking the internets isn't very romantic.

Of course he'll say yes. What 23 year old guy wouldn't like to get engaged?

OP it sounds as if you are ready to ask him, afterall you're 23, time to settle down and think about your future.

If he supports Manchester United you could try turning off the tv during the Champions League-thing-a-me-jig .

Best to do it on the 70min mark of the match and ask him then. The match will be nearly over and you'll be sure to have his full attention. (nothing really good happens after the 70 min mark anyhow).

If he says no then dump him.

    Best of luck!!

His answer should automatically be no. Girls proposing is for lesbians, and if thats you then.... Pics or GTFO!

In this day and age, equality, and that jazz, wa wa wa.
Where does he sign up for his mangina?

All terrific ideas. Well done all and sundry.

This thread is testament to the folly of posting in after hours threads that really should be in the Ladies Lounge with other classics such as what shoulder do you wear your handbag on and how often do you wash your bra.

But we all get silly ideas at 23 and think, oh this will be fine.........

think of this forum choice, aye and its consequences, as a educational experience. Me thinks that the analogy will be lost on you though.

    Gosh that's so mean!

She should do it, he could walk out the door and get knocked down by a bus and never know how much she really cared for him...:o

But Quazzie does make a valid point with the pics...help us help YOU!

If you like the guy enough and want to spend the rest of your life with him, don't propose to him. You're 23 ffs

    Oh, the shame?

I was going to suggest propose whilst sky diving together, but he might be so shocked that he'll forget to open his parachute, so don't.

Nothing says i want to be with you forever like anal sex.

Give him your 'ring' and he'll be yours forever.

At 23? Cheeses of Nazareth woman! The poor guy is thinking of sex, not babies.

Leave her alone. There is nothing wrong with girls proposing....grow the f*ck up everyone. Obviously you're ready OP who cares about age etc. I'm with you,. Love knows no age etc! Now, I say maybe just order a nice dinner in or make it, whatever, and ask him then before desert... that way at least if he says yes then your desert will be twice as nice and if not...you have somethin to make you feel a little better.....:)

    Steps to ultimate success:

1)Have a day out with a male relative and your boyfriend. You can even pack a picnic if you want to. The male relative should preferrably be the driver.

2)Ask the driver to go to a multi storey carpark, and park on the roof as you just love the views.

3)Have male relative violently drag boyfriend out of car and proceed to dangle him by his Converse shoes over the edge of the roof.

At stage 3, you are safe to joyfully startle your male relative and boyfriend with the lovely engagement ring. Best of luck ;)

If you propose and he says yes then his other girlfriends might think he'll marry them too. Best to leave it be.

You're in Athlone? Does your fella like riding hippos?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 384 ✭✭Banter Joe

Tell him you're breaking up with him.

And then if he does the whole..."Please..No..I can change, I'll do anything..."

Reply with: "Anything, you say. Well in that case..."

    And take it from there.

    Might be too drastic.

If he's the right guy he'll still be the right guy in 5 years time

I blame Ali McBeal. Before that was on tv women just accepted their lot, now they have body clocks and **** like that.

23 girl, give it a year or two and then rhink about it, marriage is what couples do when they run out of fun things to do together.

Get a tattoo on your forehead that says "marry me"

either that or tell him your on the rag and you encourage him to use the tradesman's entrance. Then he has to marry you cos its the law. :D

You obviously love your bf, no question. Nobody can here can say when its the right time for you both, but I know I wouldn't. Theres nothing wrong with a girl proposing to a guy per sé, but my view on it would be to leave it up to him to do the proposing. When he does, it means hes ready for it.

The whole thing scares the living shyte out of me though, and I'm 29.

I'm 23 and got engaged last November, getting married next October. :D Don't let your age put you off, if you feel it's right go for it. How long are you with him? The only thing I'll say is there's no point in doing it until you're realistically prepared to get married, ie can afford it, have somewhere to live etc. There's no point popping the question now and not getting married for another 10 years.

Seems from the smutty comments :D most replying to this thread are male. Well take it from a fellow lady and DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!! EVER!!! I know a girl who did it and she thought she was being original and romantic etc over a leap year and she became a laughing stock. It's just one of those things that just shouldn't be done.
