Not sure if this is in the right place but, I used to hill walk quite a bit, but I have done a walk in ages and I'm looking for a 2/3 hour hill walk in cork to get myself back into it. Any ideas from anyone, or any good websites to get me started again????Thanks

    hi

    have you seen these ones:
Bishopstown Hillwalking Club ("one of the largest hillwalking clubs in Cork and Ireland")
    http://homepage.eircom.net/~bishopstownohc/bhc.html

Cork Backpackers Club ("one of the main hill-walking clubs in the Cork area")
    http://www.corkbackpackers.com/

Midleton Hillwalking Club ("the first hillwalking club in the greater East Cork area")
    http://www.midletonhillwalkers.com/

I was also thinking of joining one of the clubs, but have about 10% of the required equipment:o...

The European hiking route E8 passes through Cork on its way to the kerry way.

The actual waymarked walk is called the Blackwater way.
Starts in Tipp, but like all the other waymarked ways its broken into stages.
A few of which are in Cork.

Good resources for the abundance of frickin awesome walks that most of us have no idea are there.
