Just wondering what your guys opinion is on this, I've recently tried to improve my diet (got good info from the stickies). I eat a lot of chicken fillets with veg and a small few potatoes. I usually mix chopped garlic, rosemarry with olive oil in a bowl and coat the chicken and veg and potatoes and bang it in the oven. I dont soak it in the stuff just a light coating, it tastes great.

Am I taking in too much oil/fat with this in your opinions ?

Knock yourself out, olive oil is a great source of unsaturated fat. More people should use it.

High enough temperatures may cause some conversion to saturated fat but according to wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cooking_oil

up to 190 degrees is fine for olive oil, which should be high enough temperature to cook the chickens.

Tons of calories in it-like anything if you overdo it-body stores it as fat- I use it in my shakes if im stuck for fats in the meal!
