UFC Knockout Tournament.

Hey,

So UFC is due for release tomorrow and I got my copy today from www.gamsnash.ie so was wondering is there anyone interested in a UFC knockout tournament. The tournament will contain maximum 16 players and the first match will be best of 3 and final will be best of 5. Anyways if you are interested then post your PSN ID and I will randomly match people to fight other people and see how it goes on from there.

I will give it a week and then maybe we will start the matches and keep in contact with who you are fighting and organise the best time to play and loser gets knocked out and winner procedes to play etc. So post your PSN ID if you are interested but may or may not have the game yet. I will try and keep it updated the best I can. When we have 16 players or less interested for the 1st round you have one week to fight your oponent or you are knocked out. So what do you all think?

Yes GAMESNASH is awesome so it is, was posted yesterday and recieved today anyways I am going to post who will be playing who now by editing it with 1v16 and 2v15 etc, seems the fairest way.

Yes there is about 5 weight classes or so anyways with lots of fighters to choose from.

Never seen us mentioned so much in a thread that wasn't actually about us If you didn't have thousands of posts between you it would look like spamming. but thanks for the positive feedback guys.

I was actually thinking of making this thread last night but then realised writing on the PS3 is too much hassle .....

I think the weight class is a no-brainer really imo......Light-Heavyweight, there's an abundance of fighters you would be happy enough to pick. Any other weight and everyone will be hoarding Lesnar/GSP/Silva

Any one want to hammer me sooner hopefully online over the weekend, we should have another competition in a few weeks using our career mode characters, I believe you can use them online. ITS TIME !

I had a bit of lag earlier but the lad got disconnected when I was pounding into him on the ground with the grey bit like so would have beat him then I got the connection problem and showed up nothing.:(

Was doing well online beat a few players went up a couple of levels then fought a guy who was level 72, he got me to the ground and kept on transitioning to every position possible nearly and put me out of my missery a while later.

Well you're against me and I've never used Machida so you're safe.

I might use Kazuhiro Nakamura.. Machida couldn't stop him in real life anyway.:)

If you want yas can start your match today or tomorrow whenever suits as long as you know who you are playing. Best get the first round over quick. All we need is another 4 more fighters and we are done.

I'm tapping people out for fun now and from been 9-16, im now up to 26-18(close estimate)
You HAVE to watch your energy bar... especially if you want to submit, you just wait for them to gas while blocking their transition attempts and if your energy is at green and their's is near empty they tap out pretty much all the time.

I went from 99% KO's until yesterday evening, to around 80% sub wins now.

I tend to pick my fighter based on my opponents fighters weaknesses, if he picks a good sub' i'll try beat him up, picks a weak ground fighter and i'll tap him out.

In relation to Rampage you need a good sub fighter, and stay far away kicking low/middle to slow him down, if you get him down, just block and let them gas him and work loads of subs(they wear down weak ground fighers energy more)... one fighter against him that doesn't work is Forrest Griffin, he's so slow if Rampage gets in close and hits you a lot he gases out very easy and you don't have much hope then(two of my losses today and there wasn't many were me as Forrest against Rampage )

I find some fighters work better against others(Rampage>Griffin, Machida>Rampage, Mir>Lesnar, etc... (slightly) regardless of the controlling players ability,,,

Best to just start it now, then we can filter out the players who always apply for these and are rarely ever online(theres always one or two)...... by the end we should know who's reliable and build on that
