The idea of this thread is to keep players updated on a regular basis regarding such things as up and coming Tournaments, structures, amount of runners, one-off events and Tuesday's Satellites.

It will also give Boards members the chance to add their views about the regular and not so regular games and will allow us to gauge how our new Schedule is being received, especially during the early stages.

Yeah i think 9.30 is too late. For rebuy tournies they allow late entries for 3 levels but they treat a double chance as a freezout, and i think only allow late entries for the 1st level. Not 100% sure though

34 runners for tonight's €50 Double Chance Freezeout. A few people commented on the improved chip stacks saying the extra 1,000 (plus the extra 500 early bird chip) made the Tournament a lot better.

I did forget to mention yesterday that the 500 - 1,000 level has now been brought in for all Tournaments.

    Rebuy Period : 80 minutes (4 x 20 minutes).

    Clock : 20/25 minutes.

2 sick hands for me did the damage..

Get it in on the turn with my Jx9h v Q9o on a Jh10h8hJx board for a massive chip lead.

Then get it in 3ways with A9cc v K2cc v 66 on a Jc7c3 board for another huge pot last hand before the break.

66 takes the small main pot and K2cc spikes the 2 for the big side pot.

No luck in the cash game either..my A8 v A8 v QJss on an As8sQx board no good for a 700 pot.

Got out losing €15 so cant complain too much.

Nice little spin up for yourself in about an hour, nh wp

Went in last night (first time in SE too! :o) Was playing well til we got down to two tables, then started tilting a bit after losing to a luckbox chancer who shoved from BB with a monster duo (63o) into my KJs, 6 on flop and 3 on river. Once the leak started, I just couldn't stop it! Meh! Shoved with QQ from BB with my last 16bbs, 4 limpers on deck, called by the biggest shark on the table with AA... shudda copped why he was limping UTG(!) Aces hold and I'm gone in 16th place.

    Who won?!

Lovely place - the plushest poker room in Dublin - good standard of play on my tables... I think I was the only fish there! :p LOL! GG!

Forgot to add: wandered over to the cash table... took one look at Flushdraw, one look at TylerDurdan, one look at the Sherminator... and decided I might as well put my €50 on blackjack :o better odds for me there! :D:D:D

Sounds like things are picking up again in the SE. Good to see and glad they decided to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Was gonna play myself last night but too tired. Will start playing in the SE again now the numbers are back and they are being more responsive to their players.

That two pair hand in the cash was poxy, was just man beered up? AA was nice, turning a set and rivering quads was better, what way would you played that hand?

We are now two weeks into our new Schedule so I wanted to give a quick report on Tournament numbers and structures.

The first Tournament of the new Schedule saw 28 runners battle it out for a prize pool of almost €2,000. Quite a few players commented on just how good the structure (8,000 starting stack + 1,000 early bird chip) was, with an increasing clock. The Saturday night Tournament has an average of 19 runners for the first three weeks, not bad seeing as though there had been a few cancellations due to numbers in the past.

Thursday and Sunday Tournaments have so far reached their Guarantees. The two Tournaments have an average of 30 and 33 respectively for the year.

The Round of Each Tournament has so far proved popular. An average of 16 for the twice ran Tournament. June is a busy month for Satellites so the next Hold'em/Omaha Tournament is expected in early July.

Cash Games have also picked up recently. As I'm writing this there are 3 crazy games with plenty of old faces in !

If anybody has any thoughts regarding the new Tournament Schedule please feel free to post your comments on this thread.

    Thanks,

    Alex

We are discussing holding a larger buy-in Tournament sometime in the next couple of Months. There are a couple of things that need to be finalised such as entrance fees and dates before I post the full details. Hopefully I'll be able to do so in the next week.

    Thanks
