1st session with a personal trainer - what to typically expect?

    Long story short, I've been given a present of a couple of sessions with a personal trainer, the first session is next week and given I know nothing of nor have ever spoken to this trainer I'm unsure what to expect at the first session and moreover if there are specific things I should be asking to ensure I get the most out of it? Thanks.

    nice pressie to get, i used a personal trainer a couple of weeks ago and found it great, have sinced been able to use another two as taking part in a weight loss challenge.

    first thing is what do you want to achieve? do you need to lose weight? do you just need to tone certain areas? what level of fitness would u like to be at? the trainer should ask you all this anyway. but maybe think about what you would like to achieve, maybe you would like to be able to do a 5k or a triathlon etc
