After figuring weights are cool for gals, I have been doing some of these
    http://www.sport-fitness-advisor.com/dumbbellexercises.html
but was just checking in the 'flat chest presses' and 'seated shoulder presses' should my palms be facing me? (like toward my face, if you get me..) I assumed that's the way but I'm so dense weights-wiseI don't want to get it wrong. :o
I noticed a teeny bit of bicep the other day. Chuffed. :D

They should be facing away from you

When doing the chest presses you will have palms away in general. The advantage of dumbbells is you twist your arms to whatever is most comfortable. Personally I would have my palms away but with knuckles facing each other slightly at the bottom, i.e. when the dumbbells are near my chest, and then twist slightly as I go up so palms are fully away.

Same with the seated shoulder press, I would have palms mainly away and knuckles facing each other slightly. You should naturally move to what is most comfortable or feels natural.
