So Infamous is out in a couple of weeks and IGN has a review up.

I was looking forward to the game anyway, but now I'm pretty hyped up for it, especially since things have been quietish on the gaming front the last few weeks.

Also getting the game should give you access to the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta which is cool. I already have a code from my Qore subscription, so when I get infamous I'll offer up my code from that for anyone that doesn't have one. Not until then though just in case my copy of infamous doesn't come with a beta code!

do all copy's of Infamous come with the Beta code or only copies from Play.com?

i havent heard much about this game at all really but saw the trailer on Play and now I'm really looking forward to it. Looks like it could be a fun game with loads of action.

I dunno, a lot of people think that all the first batch sold in Europe will have the Beta code in it. It's a bit up in the air which is annoying. I don't want to order from play.com because they take so freakin' long to deliver. I want it day 1 really for that weekend. I've run out of TV shows to watch!

The video review on IGN gives a good sense of what the game will be like, almost like a mix of GTA and Fallout. Seems to have a lot of depth and replay value too.

I have this and Prototype pre-ordered.

It looks fantastic and by all accounts plays well too. I think the Uncharted multiplayer beta is the icing on the cake tbh.

Has anyone seen the inFamous comic? Apparently the first issue was released recently?

Yeah I read it, it's only a few pages long, pretty good though, doesn't tell ya much really, just sets up a few things and gives you an idea of the tone.

The demo releases to US pre-order customers is meant to be fantastic.
Plays and controls really well & great fun to play.

It's out on the 29th here, 26th in the US.

The Uncharted beta is running from June 3rd to 28th so that might play havoc with your Leaving Cert! Might help with your history though, be sure to mention the Nazi's failed attempt to find El Dorado and the crashing of their submarine in the Amazon. You'll get loads of extra marks!

Yeah I saw they said they'd post 'em out on the Monday too so you probably would have it for the Friday.

I work it out as closer to €47 including shipping, but still a good price. Gamestop.com would definitely have it to you by the friday, the got LBP to me in 2 days. Plus you get the gigawatt blades with them too, but it'd cost you €58 to get it from them, the shipping charges are pretty expense. Basically paying a tenner for the gigawatt blades, which is a bit much for what's essentially a gimmick really.

I haven't pre-ordered anywhere, prob just pick it up down town the day it comes out.

Just remember, the downloadable content (if there will be any) could be locked to the region the game is bought from. I've heard of people buying US games and can't use content downloaded for the EU version.

Damnit. My LC starts on the 3rd of june and ends on the 19th, that gives me 9 days of playing... hmm..

Too bad i chose accounting instead of history!

Yeah I've got the US versions of both LBP and Rock Band and just buy my DLC from the US store, the EU DLC definitely doesn't work though as I tried buying a song from the EU store from Rock Band and it didn't work and the same with a free costume for LBP.

True. Just some people might not be willing to purchase US psn cards of ebay or download the EU content without realising.

BTW, is there any sites that sell US psn codes instead of ebay? like those sites that sold wow subs and xbl points.

I've had 2 cards work and one not work. I've always kept the first line of my address to match my actual one and changed my city to New York and my zip code to 10045 (a New York zip code) and it's worked for two. Both Visas, my mastercard didn't work.

But I think if you have the billing address match the address on your credit card statement and just change the city and zip code it could work.

Back on topic, the more I see of infamous, the more excited I'm getting which is good, I'm getting hyped at just the right time!

It was this trailer that really sold it for me, you can download it on the PSN too I think.

Actually no it's this trailer on the PSN, which is the one the really got me. Damn it's awesome.

Initially I was concerned that this game would get boring fast, and there didn't seem to be a great variety of things you could do, especially compared to prototype. But recent videos and that review have made me see the light....and it's electrifying (sorry about that :P )

Whether to play this of Killzone 2 first is the main question (stupid college :mad: )

Yeah I was the same, but the more I see of it there seems to be so much depth to it, something I think Prototype is lacking. From the gameplay vids of Prototype that I've seen it looks fairly repetitive, like a straight forward brawler almost. I think because it looks like most of his powers are melee based.

Yeah it's Sony, I was waiting to see if gamesnash would be selling it, but no sign of it yet, which if what happened with Killzone 2 was anything to go by, makes it seem that it'll have a fairly heft RRP.

Yeah I bought Killzone 2 from ShopTo. I think delivery was £3.50, with the game arriving on the Monday after release date. Make sure to select sterling as the currency! :pac:

I see ShopTo have the limited edition version of inFamous, hmm, I'm tempted to shell out the extra for that.

Wow, I absolutely love the demo, and they give you a hell of a lot of time with the game. been playing it for 45 minutes and only on the second mission really. It's tougher than I expected which is cool, I didn't want to be able to breeze through the game. It's not frustrating me so far though, it's just nicely challenging.

It's a repeat of Killzone 2 for us - RRP is €69.99. For us to source from within Ireland for pre orders we'd have to retail it at €62.99. We will be carrying the title but unfortunately not for pre order.
