I have a love / hate relationship with farts. I would never do it around other people. If you need to fart, theres probably something about to follow So the toilet is in order. But if someone else farts, I do laugh. :pac:

I was on the train there last week. Two elderly women were sitting in the seat across from me, anyways one of them consumes a toffee crisp. Bout five mins later she let rip a wet rooter that alerted all those around that not all was well. It was a live contender for a follow through.

They're only funny if you can mask the smell to be something else. Ask all those around you to come sniif to try and figure the source and whereabouts of said smell. After around 2 minutes when all the smell particles have been nasaly consumed, only you will know the origins of the smell.

Its also funny when you do one in your car and then get stopped at a checkpoint. Roll down window and watch Garda mumble his first sentence.

Generally, I find them funny. There was a thread here recently about Ireland being a nation of those who frequently break wind and it made hilarious reading (for me anyway!).

Though I was a hospital patient years ago and the patient next to me constantly had a gang of lads visit her who held farting competitions in the cubicle - that was the only time I did not find it amusing, it was really not the time or the place.
