Peter Andre and Katie Price are separating after 4 and a half years of marriage, Can Associates Limited can confirm today.

They have both requested that the media respect their families’ privacy at this difficult time.

nahhh it's just a stunt to keep their name in the press. it'll get them some publicity and then they'll get back together again in a few months time. maybe they just want an extension for their house and this 'split' should help to cover the cost.

Good! Can't stand Jordan, she treats Peter like sh*t from what I see! He deserves someone a lot nicer than her, seems like a lovely guy and good dad.

What pisses me of is this:

A bit rich coming from a couple who sell every aspect of their life to the media! I bet OK are rubbing their hands with glee imaging how many weeks of front covers they can get out of this story.

Week 1: Jordan: "Peter put his career before me"
Week 2: Peter "Katie claims to be a sex kitten but actually never puts out"
Week 3: Jordan: "Pete has a tiny winky"

I saw them on Graham Norton not too long ago. He must have had the patience of a saint to put up with her for so long. He was totally emasculated! Pity for the poor kids. He does deserve someone better.

I happened to be channal hopping the other evening and came acorss '' Katie and Peter stateside '' on ITV2 ( I allow myself to view a bit o trash tv now and again and I wasn't alone ) .They were holed up in as shop with a baying papperazzi outside and while waiting to escape , they had this big nasty spat (which was kicked off by some ejit shop assistant arsing about on a two wheeled contraption saying he had never heard of either of em ,) which was hillarious to watch ,if only to see them crumble up in embaressment .So talk about hurt egos , Katie turned on pete and he turned on Katie and I said to myself .......that's the end of that relationship

If ever two people showed up the whole shallowness of the celeb / Paparazzi / 24 hr fame game , it's those two .

wouldnt be surprised if it were true the way they act on their show as they claim they are being "real".

but i think it all 4 publicity something has to pay for petes album since they failed to break america hav to earn money some other way.

i can see the ok cover already " were back together" followed a couple wks later by "renewing our wedding vows cermony".
sad for the kids if it is true.

Indeed ,actually it's hard to tell these days .I think the whole idea is for people who would otherwise be considered intelligent to view these programmes, in order to come to some conclusion that yes, this is trash tv but this (another example) is not .As long as we can tell the difference .

What a surprise. I'm not a huge fan of either of them, but I do feel for Peter. He might not be the brightest bulb, but he is a decent bloke and a great dad. Anyone who takes on someone else's disabled child deserves a lot of respect. Jordan seems to be a difficult person to live with and she doesn't know how to treat people with respect and regard. Having said that, it still sad when a marriage breaks down, especially for the kids.I don't think it's a publicity stunt, to be honest, because it's been coming for a long time.

I think this is all for publicity - if she isnt having work done to herself or feuding with Jade or Kerry she needs to be more in the public :mad:

Its about time both of them stepped out the limelight and out of the cosmetic surgeon's office and concentrated of their kids

I liked the two of them and am sad that they have broken up. They did well together for the 4/5 years. Many marraiges don't last that long especially with the busy lives both of them live.

Jordan is not stupid - as many people are saying - she is a very, very savvy business women. Turned what was essentially her boobs into a very profitable business brand.

I bet her son didn't see this coming.

When you've lived that long with someone so obsessed with self-promotion, i think you're going to learn a trick or two. Can't help but think he's playing the media just a little too.

I had to laugh last night while watching Vincent Browne, he was reviewing the front pages of todays "papers" including the red tops.
One paper had a headline from Peters perspectice "Katie doesn't put out", another paper was from Katies perspective "Peter, I want you back".
I thought immediately of this post..........

I really hope it is just a publicity stunt!as annoying and vain as they appear sometimes, there are times when their show on itv is very funny and they do (or did) seem like they are mad about each other and genuine enough!

its not fair on the kids to be in a home where their parents bicker as much as they do either, or hav a camera stuck in their faces 24/7! . i still think its a publicy stunt she craves attention!! they had nothing in the pipe line work wise for the first time since they met she had to invent something! plus he left her ya right! he follows her around like a lost puppy! her walking out on him is more believeable, i feel sorry for the kids having those 2 as parents.

It is a bit suss - I was watching the Soap Awards last night, weren't they on last weekend? Those 2 presented an award and came out holding hands and looking all loved up - days later they're divorcing? Hmmmm.
