Send €1000 worth of unmarked bills to the Fitness forum Moderator HQ aka smashey's Den of Iniquity and await your fate.

Real answer - Moderators are chosen based on their contributions to a forum and their general conduct around boards.ie. There's no application process as such, and asking to be a Mod immediately disqualifies you. We come to you, not the other way around :D

We used to get paid in coke and hookers but with these recessionary times n' all we've been reduced to a Jumbo family pack of generic paracetamol. In other words no, we're not paid :)

The inflated ego is the benefit to themselves=charity is actually helping people, not just banning people from forums.

True dat. smashey's ego is so big he has to carry it around in a wheelbarrow. And Khannie has applied to Dublin CoCo for planning permission for a new super-size-me warehouse to fit his in. Mine's visible from space. The Great Wall of China pales in comparison to my ego's spectacularness.

BossArky hasn't been a Fitness Mod long enough to have his ego assessed. He lives in the Ew-Kay though so it probably has a posh accent, hangs out with aristocratic ego's and shops in Harrods.

Looks like you're giving them a prime chance to inflate their ego so...

Not expected really, just hoped, not like you have to turn in for work each day. It is just sort of being in a neighbourhood watch or something, like cleaning up your local area and making it nicer for yourself and others. Cleaning off graffiti is like deleting abusive posts, taking down illegal advertising posters advertising stuff is like deleting spam. I actually used to work taking down illegal posters in the dublin.

If there was an inclinling that somebody had a power buzz they would not be considered to be a moderator. Geek is a pretty relative term, many guys I know would call you a geek for being on a message board, or even being able to use a PC.

I am a geek. I don't think there's a soul alive would say otherwise. In fact, if they tried, I'd bash them with the Muay Thai. :D

God you know you're a geek when you threaten to bash someone with "my tie".
