Hi all, I hope this is the right place to ask.

Im planning a two month working vacation in spain, il be heading in a few weeks. I will most likely be eating what ever is readilly available so its i doubt my deit will have a high nutritional value, I eat alot of fruit though. I will also be drinking most nights of the week.

I was hoping sumone here could recomend some supplements to help keep me alive and somewhat healthy?

Also, would any one be able to recomend a fibre supplent?

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Why would your diet not have a high nutritional value?

If you're going to be eating crap and drinking alcohol every day for 2 months I don't think a multivit will do you too much good in comparison.

    Thats fair enough my man.

Its quite possible I wont have a kitchen and an affordable healthy take out may not be an option, but Il do my best.

So im waisting my time with vitamins?

Vitamins are better than no vitamins at the end of the day I guess.

    Hi,

Most vitamin nutritional supplements contain a synthetic form of beta-carotene, because it is less expensive and readily available. Only the best vitamin supplements contain organic beta-carotene derived from marine algae.

I once went without a vitamin supplement for 31 years and didn't die and I suspect you'll be fine without them for two months.

Vitamins sound grand but in the quantity they're available in pill form (500% of your dailt requirements and other such bollocks), they can't be readily absorbed and used by your body. So essentially you get expensive, funny coloured urine for your money.

In other news, all food contains vitamins and minerals vital to your survival in some form or another. You can take one but they won't counteract the effects of a bad diet. So if you're eating a tonne of lard everyday, having a multivit will not make that go away.

Back to the question - i always feel a little worse when I miss my vits for a few days. Might be placebo but I dont think so
