We all know true and well about all the secret forums us regular members and others can't see. I know a few but have no clue what the hell goes on behind their closed doors.

As Beruthiel put it to me when I asked a few weeks ago, "Private forums are for private people". I'm sure theres plenty of forums for social groups and gaming clans, for example.
Try PM'ing the mod of such a forum to see what response you get.

Subscription does not give you access to every forum.

There are many private forums here and some are just for friends to have a chat and nothing major happens there.

Lolocaust?
The mods have no problem giving people access.
Same goes for Slydice.
They are the only 2 private forums I have access to apart from the mod forums which are private for a reason.
I don't have access to the PI mods forums. That's just for PI mods. The AH mods have our own little one. It's just chatter about what we are going to do with the new charter we're drawing up. I'd say the PI mods do a similar thing.

At the end of the day, you're not really missing anything and pretty much anyone can have their own private forum.

There are many 'secret' forums, subscribing doesn't get you access to all of them.

soccer needs to be private because beforehand everyone was just signing up fake account and hurling abuse to players and posters.

i'm apart of a couple private forums, the ones i'm apart of aren't that great, they are fun but i wouldn't miss them tbh.

i'm sure there's other great things in other private forums, but they are private for a reason.

For the legitimate user its very straightforward to request access. Its just a firewall measure in effect.

Well as far as I'm aware there are only 2 that are in any way busy on a regular basis. 1 has been mentioned above, the other has yet to be mentioned.
