    Hi all,

I went to this Tony Quinn shop in Square and bought two jars of casein "the better protein" (as per the shop assistant) in a fit of madness. Then I came across a few threads about the product and TQ and was less than impressed.

Now I have one opened jar and I am going to return the un-opened one. My question is - is the product too bad to be taken at all? I am thinking of the money spent on un-opened one.

    Thanks PK.

Moral of the story: search boards not only before posting but also purchasing stuff.

Nothing wrong with it. While many people believe whey is best post workout, there are others who disagree, and most people reckon that casein is best for meal replacements or bedtime.

Ok, you could have got it cheaper elsewhere, but not by that much. I personally reckon the TQ stuff is pricy, but the quality is fine.

Hey, bring back the other tube if you like, its not that bad to be honest with you apart from the price. Different courses for different horses as they say, meaning that one person may think that the TQ products are muck and another will think that they are the dogs you know whats.

Just my opinion, TQ has been ripping the people of Ireland of for so long, just read the articles about his gyms etc etc. I for one would not buy there products, the man is a con man.

There is nothing wrong with casein protein its a good source of protein whey is good too casein has its advantages in that it has a lower transit time and sits in your stomach for longer its a slow releases protein this is why its best to have at night before bed(to beat the fast) whey is a more anabolic protein and has a higher biological value it is utilsed by the body much faster which is why its best during and post workouts there are also other powders that use a mixture of both

I found TQ protein to be really good stuff.

It also doesn't make your flatulence stink like whey does

I went into a TQ shop in Dun Laoghaire, and asked for directions to Universal Nutrition.

    I felt amazing. :P

Let's hope not.. The last incident was more than enough for me! :D

Anywho i prefer to just drink whey with milk, get's the same effect as casein (near enough) and it's cheaper!
