Have a 1 euro 10-fold accumulator on the Premier League. 9 out of 9 so far with Villa to play at home tonight against Hull.....i'm feeling lucky! I'm set to win 662 euro with Bet 365 giving a 60% bonus with 10-fold accumulators; meaning i've got 1060 euro resting on Villa not screwing up.

very nice indeed the bolton game ****ed me up

cant see a hull win what so ever but maybe a draw thou

I still think you'll win that bet

very nice bet gnolan good luck with it.

if l were you I'd open a betfair account and lay aston villa at 4/7

or less hassle maybe go into william hill and put say €200 on hull +1 goal at 6/4 .

that way if hull win or draw u will get back €500 from hills (€300 profit)

or if villa win u will still win €800 which is still a very nice win for €1 stake.

Seems like a sensible idea, but i'm very much an all or nothing kind of fella!

Excellent! The draw in there makes it look all the more impressive.

Good luck mate ill be cheering on villa for you ! just a quick question how did you take a screenshot of that bet ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,501 ✭✭✭gnolan

To be fair, the wigan bolton game was probably the trickiest of them all, all others threw up no surprises. Probably the west ham games was the only other one which could have gone either way.

Bet365 have "Hull or Draw" at 5/4 at the moment, i am tempted to put 100 down just to cushion the blow if the unthinkable should happen

Actually, that was an awkward backstard of a thing to do. I pressed Alt and Prt Scr, then went into MS Paint, right-click and paste, and then crop the image. Anyone know how to embed the image rather than have it as an attachment?

Villa are pretty poor at home. I reckon Hull will snatch a draw at least.

OP, I'd lay Villa without a doubt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,924 ✭✭✭shoutman

Villa haven't won in the past 10 games, but that said Hull are also on horrid form.

Lay Villa. Then you'll definitely come out ahead.

Good bet OP, wish I'd gone for that, though I'd probably have left out a couple (Villa not being one of them)

    Good luck with it !

jeez hope villa do it for you, as you pointed out definitely take that "hull or draw" and your a win win, ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,988 ✭✭✭✭kippy

Best of luck man, really hope Villa do it. On paper they should, on form though and the need for hull to win more its a bit more ropey.
    Come on the Villa!

Accu's have let me down all the time lately, [apart from the horses] usually one team.

    unreal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,455 ✭✭✭weemcd

Im defiantly in the opinion that the OP should lay villa, gonna be up either way

    http://www.oddschecker.com/betting-tools/hedging-calculator.html

By my calculations (10 fold bonus aside not included) you should lay villa at roughly £370 to guarantee urself a profit of 350.

For God's sake dont take my word as gospel though.

Was in this position last week. Waiting for Newcastle for €870. Couldn't see Pompey wining so backed the draw thankfuly. Wouldn't depend on Newcastle for €8.70 neverminf €870. Think you should take the 6/4 about Hull +1. Not even to even stakes if you are confident about Villa. Maybe just to win two or three hundred. You'd still be up about eight if Villa win. A good return for a euro in my book ;o)

Best of luck, my friend is waiting on a Villa win as well...Wycombe let me down in my main bet .

As a side note did anyone read Kevin Pullein's article in the Post today about hedging out on bets??

Basically he was saying that as long as you're satisfied that you are on at the right price you should always leave the bet stand; unless it is a life changing sum of money.

Cant find a link online atm.

Well lads, back after getting sh1tfaced in town! Good night! Just so you know, i put 80 euro lay on villa at 5/4 so woulda come away with 100 profit; but then bet365 gave me a free 80 euro bet on top of that; so that went on Villa winning after the first half and hull to win outright which woulda net me 4000 euro.

But as you know Villa scraped it, lucky bastards. Bloody delighted though, and glad i just put down the 100 against villa. Think i'm gonna have a rough day tomorrow though....

    Congrats OP.

As a forum moderator who has given you a platform to boast I feel it's only fair that a percentage of your winnings is deposited to my account. We'll make it an even 50%.

Well if you're a seasoned gambler putting decent money on then it's probably sound advice alright. For a big one Euro accumulater fun bet with one match to go, i'd always say hedge it.

I think his comment was more a celebration of the Irish way rather than a criticism. You may have wasted a rare rolleyes on this one.

is it just me or does that seem like a sh!t return - predictin 10 selections all right and only gettin 668 or whatever it was...

    668-1

Thats not too bad for 10 football selections. Granted its extremely difficult to get 10 but I think thats not too bad. He may have been able to get better odds elsewhere.

It is and it isn't. It just so happens that this weeks results were somewhat easier than other weeks to predict, with the expected winners winning, and the ten matches really only have two tricky ones in there

Whereas this week i've got another 1 euro 10-fold at 5800-1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,536 ✭✭✭Brimmy

Ok those odds are ludicrous. I have to ask... What teams?

Off the top of my head:

    Arsenal beat Chelsea
    Utd beat City
    Liverpool beat West Ham??
    Fulham Draw Villa
    Everton beat Tottenham??
    Blackburn Draw Portsmouth
    Hull beat Stoke
    Wigan beat West Brom
    Newcastle beat Middlesbrough
Bolton beat Sunderland?? - possibly draw

Not so outlandish like a malfunction!

You basically correctly predicted every Premiership result for the weekend :D
