    male 30
    5 8"
    12 stone 2 pounds
looking to come down to around 11 stone.

was 12 stone 4 pounds about 4-5 weeks ago.

I have lost 2 pounds in about 4-5 weeks, is that very little to loose?

    I am cycling about 80miles+ a week. 3 cycles a week.
I am doing cycling as I am training for a charity event in a few months

In the last 2 weeks I have started doing some pushups weights. etc.
i am folowing this program online. looks pretty good.
I am just on the 2nd week and i do this 3 times a week,
I am finding it really tough going.so it pushes me.

I cut out all junk food.

maybe 1 bar of chocolate a week.

breakfast is usually 3 eggs scrambled with 2 slices of toast and butter
of Burgen soy and linseed low GI bread. fills me up for ages.

dinner is usually, tomato based indian, no rice with half a nan bread.

lunch is usually.something like cous cous. or burgen bread with peanut butter

i usually eat 2 apples a day and maybe 3 yogurts also

    2 cups of coffee.

I have tried now to stop eating after 9.30.

should i be loosing more weight than my current weight lose?
i see some people saying that the weight is just falling off them
just by cutting out junk food. i feel i eat ok, maybe i could be a bit
better, but i train fairly well.

one thing though is that i am starting to get really fit.

The thing is, it's easiest to do one thing at a time. Training for an endurance event while trying to lose weight is difficult. It's much harder to balance the calories you need. For what it's worth, losing weight fast while training for a long cycle is a bad idea, you'll probably lose a lot of strength and stamina at the same time.

Open a free account with Fitday.com and put in your food to see what it adds up to. The one thing I'd suggest is change the Indian for one you make yourself. It's impossible to know if a takeaway has 500 calories in it, or 1000 or even more. If you make it yourself, you'll know if it has 1 teaspoon of oil or 5 tablespoons.

I would suggest you make a point of getting a quality protein in each meal. Breakfast loosk good, not so sure about other meals. Something like cottage cheese is a good snack, high protein and easy to eat. Before a workout, you can add a couple of spoonfuls of honey to give you extra carbs when you need them.,

At 12 stone, you are not going to have weight fall off you. It's quite possible that 11 stone is not realistic, or at least, not without a really regimented cutting diet and workout routine.

thanks for the advice Eileen, what i think i will do is try to get some more protein in my diet and maybe just keep eating healthy, but not try to stave myself. i think with the way i eat that a 1lb every 1.5 -2 weeks is possible, hopefully that won't see a major change in my strength and stamina as i do want to get aleast 6 pounds off, even if i loose some at bit of strength and stamina then that is ok, I make the indians myself not takeaways for me:D
