You would prefer to see Silvestre start at left back over Gibbs, thats pretty shocking tbh, as for diaby and song i think id prefer to see Song in there, hes playing well and if we have Van Persie playing we should have enough attacking players on the pitch imo.

    Please god van persie starts!!!

Did you watch the game last week?

Gibbs was consistently put up against JOS and Ronaldo on his own when Diaby went missing and still did a great job.

And Song has been our outstanding CM the past few weeks.

I've no idea why you would want either of them dropped.

No offence, but that's a retarded question!

Diaby isn't a defensive player and he isn't a winger He didn't track back enough the last day and should probably have been in that area where O Shea got his goal since Gibbs was standing at the post. I would like to see him play in a central/attacking role. We need to win this game, so we need as many attacking players out there as possible as we'll probably need to win by 2. I'm not stupid though, I know we're gonna start with Song/Denilson and probably play 4-5-1.

As for Silvestre and Gibbs, I honestly don't care which one starts at LB as long as Silvestre doesn't start at CB (I'm sure he will though) because he's far too dodgey there to be honest!

I still think Silvestre will score the winner.

Just not sure which team he'll score it for.

Nasri, Walcott, Fabregas, Van Persie, Adebayor is plenty of attacking power imo theres no need for Diaby to start alongside Cesc it would just put to much defensive responsibilty on his shoulders. (re cesc that is)

I just feel having Song in the centre will help break up alot of Utd's attacks and between himself and Fabregas provide the necessary passes to keep the likes of Nasri and Walcott going in the right direction!

As for the formation i think Wenger said recently that will be determined on whether or not RVP starts. If he does we are guaranteed to see 4-4-2

Also i think we will see Djourou start the game, i dont think Silvestre will be 100% for it

Anderson being used on the counter attack

I think Ando will be employed in doing a number on Fabregas tbh.

    I know.

That's why I said it, he's well capable of harrying and hassling Fabregas out of his normal game, and it's what I think Ferguson will tell him to do, because he sure as fúck won't get a goal.

Back five is nailed on, and so are Ronaldo and Rooney. Rooney on the left.

I think Tevez will start too, he didn't play at the weekend.

He'll come off after about 70/75 minutes and Berbatov will come in.

    Depending.

If United score early on, then they will take Rooney and Evra off.

So, the changes can't be too well predicted.

    Almunia
    Sangna
    Djourou
    Toure
    Gibbs

    Eboue
    Song
    Fabregas
    Nasri

    Walcott

    Adebayor

Can't understand why Vela doesn't start. He gives us natural width on the left and he would destroy JOS. Haven't said that I don't think he will start so I'm going with what I think Wenger will go with

    Almunia

    Sagna - Toure - Djourou/Silvestre - Gibbs

    Cesc - Song - Nasri

    Walcott

    Ade - RVP

I don't think Diaby should start a game like this. He gives the ball away fat too much and we can ill afford to do that against Utd tonight.

Agree completely. Even if we weren't playing a very dangerous attacking side, it's not a win-at-all-costs cup-tie... a clean sheet is vital to our chances in this tie. Cos if we score 3, I don't think Utd will only have scored 1.

So swapping van Persie for Diaby is going to make us infinitely more successful going forward than last week??? I doubt that very much!

I know they play in different positions but
    RVP >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Diaby

Hopefully we can start with both Ade and RVP up top with a midfield of Walcott, Song, Cesc, Nasri.

Is rooney the only player a yellow away from missing the final?

tbh im struggling to come to terms with that post but to answer your question, yes i believe without a shadow of a doubt i would prefer to see RVP start ahead of Diaby as one of our attacking players! Diaby in for Song is complete madness to be quiet honest, as it has been said already we are playing a pretty impressive team going forward!!!

It will be fairly open game but i dont think Wenger would fancy it being that open!!!!:)

    As far as im concerned im really hoping we see the following to night going forward;

    Walcott---Song---Cesc---Nasri

    Adebayor---RVP

As for whos going to partner Toure im a bit undecided regards either Silvestre or Djourou but i have a feeling it will be Djourou.

For united its just Rooney and Evra!

For the Goooners its Nasri, Song and Van persie i think!!

Rooney, Evra and Tevez are all one booking from missing the final in Rome provided they win tonight.

    From BBC
Van Persie is one of four Arsenal players who would miss the final if they picked up a booking, along with Alex Song, Abou Diaby and Samir Nasri.

Manchester United have Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez and Evra on a yellow card.

My only point is that I don't think we'll have enough going forward to break down United and get the goals that we need. We were awful last week, I don't see us improving enough this week!

This could be our last big game of the season and the biggest we've had since Paris. It's all or nothing!

Wouldnt fancy Walcott in that position at all tbh, let him do what his does best out on the wing instead of getting lost somewhere in behind Ade!

I really think alot will hinge on Walcotts ability to get past Evra, we all know he can do it and hopefully to night he can produce it on the big stage!

Just to make change to your team, keep Walcott on the wing and get RVP in and around big Ade and il be pretty confident come 19:45!!!

Rooney will definitely be deployed on the left side of United's midfield to help the vulnerable looking Evra deal with Walcott.

They nullified him last week, I think they'll do the same this week.
