    Folks,

Has any one else found they have got spots etc on their back/chest from taking certain brands of whey protein? Its basically the only thing that has changed in my diet. Probably just move back to the old brand and see what happens...

Lactose intolerance can cause a breakout of spots and dairy is a known skin aggrevator for that reason.

I’ve also noticed this. I’m using whey protein by optimum nutrition.
It’s nothing major, feel like a teenager again. :pac:
Now if only I had the metabolism of a 16 year old!!

Is the brand just pure protein powder?
ZMA gave my the first spots on my face in about 10 years.

Also does anybody know if increased test due to lifting might cause it, shakes or not.

Increased testosterone can cause it, but the raise in test you get from lifting is rarely high enough to cause it apparently (I remember reading something about this that went something along the liens that few people actually train hard enough to raise hormonal levels significantly :p) - sweating is a more likely culprit.

ZMA can induce hormonal spots though, I get awful breakouts on my back if I take it.

Dont usually get spots like but im convinced its from whey.
I think I used to get the same from too much milk as a teenager.
Can you get lactose free protein or something?

ON 100% Whey has added lactase for the lactose intolerant.

Lactase being the enzyme lactose intolerant people lack, hence not being able to break down lactose in milk. ;)

For those suffering with the acne I would recomend trying the 100% from Optimum, due to the fact that it has added lactase helping those who are lactose intolerant.
