an apparent attack on the Dutch royal family at a parade in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, has failed, but not before a car drove through a crowd, injuring at least a dozen. The vehicle was headed in the direction of Queen Beatrix before it crashed; the royal family watched in awe.

This seemed to all happen in a matter of seconds. His reactions were probably still catching up with what was happening in front of him. Same with most of the people in the crowd..some of them have realised what's happening, many are still smiling and such looking at something else.

The TV cameras didn't realise what was going on until it had hit that monument, and the front of the car was already pretty well smashed up before it hit that. Nobody knew what was going on until it had gone past them or was too late.

The videos just show the end of it where the car crashes into a monument.

The stills are the only ones showing injured people.

Im over here now...people are saying they still want to party and not let this ruin the day. That picture is horrible though.
People are saying the Queen was going to hand over to the Prince today as well...theres a press conference in an hour.

I thought that was her aswell but I'm not sure now. In the first (disturbing) picture she's barefoot but is wearing shoes in the recovery one. Possibly her mother? They are dressed very similarly.

Cynthia Boll, a photographer at the scene, told the BBC the car was already badly damaged before it slammed into the crowds at high speed.

"There were people everywhere, you could definitely see that it was serious because everywhere was blood and shoes ripped off and all the people giving CPR," she said.

This was not an accident, dipstick confirmed to the police that it was on purpose.
I can not find anything about motif and whether the attack was on the royal family or on the general public.
