As in the title- I get lower back discomfort when doing sit-ups.. not pain or anything. I can just 'feel the burn' (hehe) there when doing sit-ups and sometimes weights. (I just do wee dumbbells, nothing strenuous..)
Is this right or am I 'sitting up' wrong?

thats the problem with situps, they put strain on the lower back. you could try hanging leg raises. do u train in a gym? squats and overhead press will help with your core. overhead squats are great for abs but will take a while to learn and to have enough flexibilty and stability to do them.

there are excercises that don't stress the lower back, also try to strengthen your lower back
