hey, can anyone give me any info on the benefits of the different squat variations mainly hi bar/lo bar back squat, front squat and zercher squat.

im thinking of adding in front squats to my workout, but i just dont really know what difference it makes which version you do.
like how does the low bar position affect your body etc? what muscles does the front squat affect that back squats dont or does it matter at all?

if theres a decent web resource that explains any of this, then let me know too.
    thanks.

On the right down the bottom has a few muscles listed, tells what exercise hits what.

Front squats are great but start off light!, hits the abs and front of the legs more, I find it forces you to have better form.

thanks man, that stronglifts site is quite good. i use the exrx site a lot its good but it doesnt explain some things well enough, like front squats put more emphasis on quads and abs (only boards tells you that). didnt realise they hit the upper body so much though.
im guessing zerchers are similar to front squats.
