How much of a Simpsons buff are you?

Everyone thinks they're a Simpsons' expert- ok not everyone, but you know what i mean.

So what obscure Simpsons fact are you privy to that you're sure nobody else knows.

I didn't wanna post this in TV because of the Simpsons' wide-ranging cultural impact... or something.

So can you pose a Simpsons question that you're sure nobody else knows the answer to?

/awaits the inevitable "everyone does not think they're an expert, i'm certainly not" post with bated breath of course.
Also awaits person who says this anyway in an oh-so-ironic way even after above disclaimer. :p

Why is it so bloody **** these days?

For how long has it been ****?

Is it right to use The Simpsons as an example of something that has gone on just to ****ing long, and should've been shot in the head a long time ago, like the 99 year old granny shipped off to a home?

Pains me to say it, and it is a cliche at this stage... but it certainly is $hit nowadays.

Without googling it What is comic book guys real name?

Simpsons has really gone to **** the last few years, it was at its strongest when the episodes were somewhat grounded in reality. now its pretty much a show about what crazy job will Homer have this week? ....And its sliding closer and closer to the family guy blueprint of random unconnected jokes.

    South Park FTW.

    It's Jeff Albraz or something.
I was just about to post this very question.

The Simpsons does totally suck now.
I used to love it up until about 5-6 years ago.

It has seriously jumped the shark.
I think it went downhill due to a number of factors.
One being when Homer starts being a good father.

Not a nice thing to say alright- he certainly didn't embiggen himself by saying it.

At least he didn't call it craptacular.

    So is Patti.

Ok, we get that is gone crap (although there was a half decent episode a few weeks ago.
    Can't remember what happened though)

It loates me to say this, but can we keep this on topic and not go down the road of yeah,it's crap. I hate it and I'm posting on the internet so that everyone will know how cool I am.

My last post was an obscure Simpson's reference.

Also, the name "Bouvier" is taken from the maiden name of Jackie O.

Perhaps this quote is slightly abstract unless you're a bigtime fan
    but I think it's hilarious.

Alec, Alec, regarding that so called "silent" propulsion system in
"The Hunt For Red October", I printed out a list of technical errors which I think you'd enjoy discussing.

They're all starting to come back to me now, from a time when 'The Simpsons' were gold.

Just like the time I could have met Mr. T at the mall.
The entire day, I kept saying, 'I'll go a little later, I'll go a little later...'
And when I got there, they told me he just left.
And when I asked the mall guy if he'll ever come back again,,,,,,,
    he said he didn't know.
Well, I'm never going to let something like that happen again!

Can you name the truck with four wheel drive,
smells like a steak and seats thirty-five..

    Canyonero! Canyonero!

Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down,
It's the country-fried truck endorsed by a clown!

    Canyonero! (Yah!) Canyonero!
    [Krusty:] Hey Hey

    Canyonero!

12 yards long, 2 lanes wide,
    65 tons of American Pride!

    Canyonero! Canyonero!

Top of the line in utility sports,
Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts!

    Canyonero! Canyonero! (Yah!)

She blinds everybody with her super high beams,
She's a squirrel crushing, deer smacking, driving machine!

    Canyonero!-oh woah, Canyonero! (Yah!)

    Drive Canyonero!

    Woah Canyonero!

    Woah!

    Anyone else know the songs?

I can sing "See my vest" & the stonecutters song. Me and my mates used to sing them while plastered, as well as other show songs.

We went to a Simpson pub quiz night a couple years ago but didn't do too well. A guy at the end of it sang kirk vanhoutens "Can I borrow a feeling", I was well impressed.

Regarding the series, yeah its gone to ****. But ill still happily watch an old episode.
