Well as you probably all don't remember,I started a thread about 2 months ago asking for advice for beginners. It's worked out perfectly so far,I've put on about a stone and a half, mostly muscle.

Anyway,I've got about 6 weeks before the start of the summer and was just wondering what is the best way of going about toning the ab area/getting a six pack. I'm happy with the weight I've put on so far and I wouldn't mind losing a small bit of it to get the six pack if it was absolutely necessay.

What kind of diet is needed? How much cardio should I be doing? I've heard crunches can only do so much so what other excercises would you recommend?

    Thanks in advance,
    Lep. :)

    http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/exercises.php?MainMuscle=Abdominals

Here few exercises that will help. I think its important to workout the lower abs more then the upper abs and also not to forget the obliques.

As for food etc I will leave someone else suggest that as mine are pretty standard (athough it has worked a bit and I have strong enough stomach now)

I like to tense my stomach as hard as I can and get my little brother to punch me in it tenderly about 15-20 times. Thai boxers use a similar technique

Do a load of ab excercises, ie. ab wheel, supportless sit ups (Hmm, explaining it.. hmm, lie on a bench, turn around 90 degrees, put your feet under for support (i often use the dumbell rack in the gym) and let your upper body fall down to a -25 degree angle and rise back up a 30 degree angle. I probably butchered that explanation lol). Start running, i've started myself, usually do 4-5 miles every second night, burn off that belly fat! And lower your carb intake bascally. My nutrition adivce is basic, but i don't pretend to have much knowledge of the subject!

Well that's what i do, hopefully someone with more techniques comes along :P

    See you on the beach!
