Problem sending mail

Hey guys, I've been trying to email a lecturer but i keep getting this message, WARNING: Message could not be delivered. Couldn't find an outgoing host to route mail to. Any idea why this would be?

Mail service had a temporary fault for about 30 mins today - I couldn't get on at all from around 2:30-3:00 - That might explain it
