I have a Garmin Nuvi 255W. I have it from new and its about 6 months old but rarely used. Anyway, I havn't turned it on in about 2 months and when I tried to turn it on tonight...nothing. I plugged it into the car and then the computer and still no joy. Could the battery be so dead that it needs a while to recharge before…

Leave it on charge fo a while and see what happens. Don't panic in any case - it's still under warranty.:)
