OK so here's the deal. I'm going to go out of my way this week to be nice to see if my life improves or changes greatly. This world is so sad nowadays that its hard to be happy any time.

    Being Nice Includes
*Saying nice things about people (or posters)
    *Not being cruel
*Possibly doing something charitable like a donation
*Whatever you think would be a nice thing to do

This can extend to boards if ye want and I don't expect a lot of co-ordination but I myself must adhere to the policy aforementioned.

So here is my first attemt
I can only think of nice things to say about the posters on boards. You all have your own opinions and respect and appreciate them.

Here's hoping that I will stay alive this week.

    Thanks for reading

I like your attitude and I have to say your right eveyone seems to be depressed these days with all the financial turmoil surrounding our country. I guess being more involved in your community would be a start.

They should try. It will be hard though as I think they have nothing to complain about when perfectly good replacements are unemployed ATM

I thought we were in for another round of Nice treaty shíte talk.

Possibly doing something charitable like a donation

Been thinking about this a lot lately. Well, not so much donating as doing some charitable work. Hope I follow through on it with some action.

You should. I collect for the Irish Wheelchair Assocation after mass sometimes and it feels great helping out.
    Good luck Earthhorse

Two birds with one stone..... change your not-so-nice username, to do so you will have to subscribe to boards, there's your donation.

I've done a few collections in the past. Was thinking something more involved. Not too sure what yet. Will be thinking about it and researching it in the coming months.

i did a charity wall for people who suffer with depression it was a walk of bout 7 miles - prob doesnt sound like much but after been in a car accident 6 years ago it left me with a bad lower back/hip injury so that was my thing - thought someone had battered me at the end of it but its so worth it for charity to give something back....

have done various charity things over the years for hospices / old folks home etc etc

as i always say its nice to be nice and its so true you get so much back for doing it ...:).

Yeah, that would be the Aware walk? Or maybe it wouldn't!

Was at something like that myself once. Think this week I'll promise not to kill anyone at work. Start slow.

    * My nice thing*

Just wanted to say, I've come to really like everybody here on boards over the past year. Even the ones I don't agree with or have argued with in the past. You've provided me with hours of (free!) entertainment, whether by making me LOL or giving me something thought-provoking to mull over. The vast majority of you seem like really nice people (the rest are just plain crazy, but, hey, it takes all sorts!)

Now here is a giant hug for you all *HUG* :D

Kudos to the OP for starting this nice thread.

Please don't flame me for this hippy, feel-good post. I'm going to be my cynical self from now on, just had to get that out. Phew!
