    Howdy folks,

My sister will be up in Dublin next week and is looking for a city centre gym with a pool where she can pay per visit. Anyone know of a good one?

    Cheers

There's a swimming pool at Tara Street Train station... as above, it's on Townsend Street. Think it's on the corner of Townsend Street and Luke Street.

Here's a link to the Dublin City Council public swimming pools. http://www.dublincity.ie/RECREATIONANDCULTURE/SPORTSFACILITIES/SWIMMINGPOOLS/Pages/swimming_pools.aspx#sean

I wouldn't be too sure on their cleanliness though!

dublin city council pools have the same standards as other pools. and the fact they are funded by the government means they can milk the state for as much as they like, as opposed to private clubs who milk the public.

I've heard a couple of horror stories from friends who've used them after school kids have been in to use them!

I'm sure they're grand though, sure don't they have to meet health and safety requirements!!

I would be going to them around 6pm or so, weekdays, and it'd be mainly full of adults.

ive been to the finglas one lots and its very clean, although i didnt know of the private shower rooms the first few times and thought (think) the main shower area is rubbish considering your basically standing on the edge of the pool!

It would only be from 10 to around 2 in the day when you'd run the risk of bumping into school kids!

People use that to shower? In front of everyone? Heck, if that's what you like, ure, but I prefer to use the gents shower room (located, at the Tara Street Station one, just off the gents changing room...

Is the shower area at the main area of the pool not just for giving yourself a quick rinses when you get of the pool?
