I know that some of the November shows have been discussed briefly in other threads, but just so you all know:

WWE Raw - "DX Invasion Tour" - Wednesday 4th November in the o2 Dublin. Tickets are on sale.

WWE Smackdown - "Undertakers Rest In Peace Tour" - Saturday 14th November in the o2 Dublin. On sale Saturday 25th April

WWE Smackdown - "Undertakers Rest In Peace Tour" - Sunday 15th November in the Odyssey Arena, Belfast. On sale Saturday 25th April

Both dates' tickets being on sale at the same time is a bit crap, isn't it :(

Would many people really be going to both shows?

I think that's the idea. It's clever from the WWE. They might find it hard given the economy to sell out the same building twice with the same show so by having 2 different shows I think they are effectively trying to get the hardcores to pay twice to offset those who would have gone previously but with money being tight won't go now.

Are you talking about the Raw and Smackdown shows in the O2? I was talking about the Smackdown shows in the O2 and Belfast, KKV said that they're on sale at the same time. I just can't imagine many people going to Dublin and then to Belfast the next night for nearly the same show

I agree with what you said though. They seem to be doing that kind of thing more now. There was a point when we hadn't got a Raw show here in a long time I think

Think i will try and get tickets for the Dublin SD but will go for the cheap tickets. There are more people i wanna see on the SD show Jericho,Hardy,Punk,Edge,Mysterio,Morrison,Gail Kim,R Truth,Benjamin and Taker

Yeah, that's what i meant, but, admittedly, i was very tired when i made that comment, and just quickly scanned through the post.

I thought SmackDown was on in the O2 twice in a row (as RAW was this week) but that both show's tickets were on sale at the same time. I figured they were going to just start selling both shows tickets at the same time (giving people a better chance to get front row, but not knowing what night they'd be going til they booked their tickets).

I just re-read it and realised that the second night is Belfast and not the O2, so it doesn't really matter now anyway. Although i still think they should have done it a day apart at least, for people like Kane-N-Nite who would go twice, but may only go once now, as by the time he has secured his O2 tickets, the remaining tickets for belfast could be crappy seats (or vice versa).

True. I'll be concentrating on getting good Dublin tix first, then check Belfast tix. I'd really like to do the O2 & Odyssey in a weekend.

And deprive some poor Northern Irish kid who's never been before of a ticket? :p

But sure you will have the o2 tickets bought on Thursday in the presale and then the Belfast tickets on the Saturday morning!

He's a ruthless SOB when it comes to the WWE! I think the WWE should have a designated seat for Kane at their Irish shows!

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,788 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Already got my tickets to Raw. Row 2 as well :P Can't wait cause I've never been that close to the ring.

I wont be going to the second show though, no more than I did when they came this time. I'm losing my grant, college wise, this year and have to work for free in a school so I simply can't afford two shows. I had already bought the Raw tickets before I knew SD was coming, but then I've just seen Punk, Jericho, Edge and Rey, so I'd rather see HHH, Batista, Orton and co....

I dunno if I'm interested in going to SmackDown! or not. I'm mildly tempted, but I don't know. Another opportunity to see Kane, I suppose, but I'm just not sure if I'll bother yet or not.

I think i'll head onto ticketmaster and go to buy some tickets, and depending on where they are, will decide if I'm going or not.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,788 ✭✭✭✭krudler

Dunno if i'll go to the SD one as I have front row Raw tickets the week before , if I got really decent seats I prob would but adding up seat prices, petrol, parking and food for a day in Dublin is clocking up at over 150 quid a show

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,199 ✭✭✭G-Money

Bought a ticket for Raw in November, might buy one for SD too. I'd like to see Jericho and Egde and I suppose seeing Taker would be good also.

Will keep an eye on the Raw tickets and see if they release more ring-side tickets. Does anyone know if they did that for the most recent shows at the O2? I noticed before that the ringside seats sell out straight away but a few times I was able to get them later even though they were "sold out" once they went on sale.

  • Subscribers Posts: 2,163 ✭✭✭Brolly

Cheapest SD! tickets for me...€30 odd for the ticket, €50 for the hotel, €30 for the bus. Expensive enough! Hope they put on a good show!

Was anyone here sitting in a €30 seat at this weeks shows? If so, happen to have a picture or brief description of where you were seated/what the view was like?

I wasn't at the wwe shows, but I sat up in the cheap seats for UFC and the view was great. I'd imagine its similar for the wwe shows.

Wouldn't happen to have any pictures by any chance would you? Were you up the back?

Looking at the O2, every view looks the same, regardless of where you sit  (thus meaning that the "cheap seats" are just a little farrer back)

Just checked the O2 blue room site, & what yesterday was info on the November 14 show is now the November 4 show, the pic of Taker is still there, but its as if they are having a pre sale for the DX show, even though tix are already on sale.

If you look through the UFC 93 thread on the MMA board a few people posted pics from their seats which should give you a rough idea.

The only photos I can find are the guy who had cageside seats. Doesn't give that much of a clue really unless you know how to get them? ;)

Any chance of anyone with photos from WWE or UFC to show one and say where they were sitting?

The cheaper the better from me as I'm a poor student but can't pass up the chance for Jericho, Edge, Christian and Undertaker live..

I think it's on the o2 show thread somewhere, i think it's on my photobucket... lemme have a lookski.

    Yup, here it is
    DSC00092.jpg

Now thats taken from the cheapish seats (ie, nosebleed section as opposed to haemmorage section), but the phone was set to panoramic view so i could get one side of the arena to the other. We were actually a lot closer to the Octogan at UFC than it appears on that shot (as it zooms outwards to get as much as it can). Ask anyone that was at a seated event in the o2, there really isn't a bad seat in the house.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 576 ✭✭✭StoneColdFan

Guess thats the view i'll have in november its not that bad i guess

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,199 ✭✭✭G-Money

Am going to Raw myself in November. Can't remember where my ticket is for exactly, but its the 2nd most expensive. I was hoping to get ringside seats but they are all gone. Will check again closer to the time maybe and if I get one, flog the one I have.

Think I will try to get a ringside seat for Smackdown next Sat.

The ring will actually be a lot closer. I do have a pic thats closer to it, but i don't have it uploaded and i don't have the card reader installed on the PC i'm working on to transfer it over from the phone. But if you give me a little time and check back to this thread in a while, i'll upload one and you'll get more of an accurate idea. :)

My tickets were 65.70 kinda gutted cause the tickets for the last Raw event were only 35.70 and i was near the entrance

    all right thanks :)

I'm well aware that i was the one asking what the view was like, but i just remembered that at the start of the RAW show last week, we (Me, CBG and a friend) went up there to take a look. I honestly don't even remember passing any remarks to what the view was like (didn't care so much at the time so much as i knew i wasn't sitting there) but i did take a picture or two (i just found them on my hard drive).

SR, you say your camera was zoomed out a little for panoramic... Would you say this would be more accurate or less accurate (i don't know how far down the steps i had walked when i took this picture, thus don't know how far back i was)

    EDIT:

Also, the screens hanging from the roof at UFC, were they displaying the matches live, or were they just used for promo/entrance videos (do they have entrance videos in UFC?)

That's pretty much an accurate shot. There six screens in total from what i remember (was sober for the whole UFC event, but got fairly twisted afterwards trying to drink RebelRockChick under the table, only for her to to watch me drown instead), and they showed the entire thing live.

Bear in mind though that UFC was a televised PPV. They may not be used for a WWE house show. Anyone that was at last weeks shows may have the answer to that one.

There were no screens at WWE's show at all (and unless it's a live show, i doubt there ever will be. Still not too sure why they bothered with them for Summer Bash).

I was just curious how they used them at UFC.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,602 ✭✭✭✭ShawnRaven

UFC is a bigger deal because it's an international televised PPV. Because it's going worldwide live, they'll want as much of a crowd reaction as they can for it. And they won't get half the crowd reaction if the crowd can't see what's happening. It's been a very long time since UFC haven't had at least six screens as part of their setup. In fact, i'm not even sure there was a UFC that didn't have a screen since the Zuffa purchase.

WWE won't give a flying f*ck about house show presentation. Never have done, never will.

Sorry if it's already been covered, but why is it called the Rest In Peace tour? Is there speculation that this might be the deadman's last year? Or am I reading too much into all this?:pac:

I think its just to sell more tickets! A bit like the Raw shows being named "DX Invasion".

However, you may have a point on Taker finishing up next year...the Arizona desert...Death Valley...hmmm!!!;)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,199 ✭✭✭G-Money

I was wondering about that Rest in Peace tour and was it some sort of farewell tour for Taker. I guess it could be, with a lead up to a send off at WM. Or it could just be a marketing gimmick.

Am looking forward to the Raw show. I just want to hear and see the DX entrance. Break it down!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,199 ✭✭✭G-Money

I'm so out of touch with WWE. I didn't realise Jeff Hardy was on Smackdown. I'll defo have to get tickets on Saturday for it!

I notice on the Ticketmaster site it says the presale starts on Thursday. I guess you have to be a member of the O2 Clear Room lets charge an arm and a leg for something you'll never use, club.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,785 ✭✭✭Kane-N-Nite

The O2 Blue Room is free. Just register as long as you are on O2.
