I'm about to buy a treadmill, the horizon one above is good value at €500 new. I gather horizon is a good brand, just wondering if that model is ok or has anyone any horror stories about it? I'm a little worried that the running surface seems a little small. any advice would be appreciated Thanks.

Personally Id expect to pay a bit more for a big piece of kit like a treadmill. Have you got a link to the T931?

I have sold gym equipment up until recently, and horizon are a decent make. The motor is over 2.5 hp so it's powerfull enough imo. Cheaper treads have smaller motors and get overworked when you run on them. As for the belt size, unless you're very tall it shouldn't be a problem. if you are tall, measure your stride and compare.

thanks for replies. i'm not tall - 5'9"" or so, but I figured maybe I would need more room to sort of misjudge speed ocassionally - basically a bit of wriggle room to fall behind a tad and catch up again. Anyway i have decided to postpone it, was in two minds anyway because am about to move out of houise for 5 months while we build an extension and realised that i just can't justify buying it and bringing it with us to teh smaller place we will be in while we build. I'll get one when i come back and stick to UCD in teh interim. Thanks anyway for replies.
