    Hi Guys n' Gals,

I have an old video camcorder
    SharpViewCam

This uses the 8mm TDK 90min Tapes
This uses the good ould Audio/Video to White/Yellow AV connection.

I was wondering is it possible to transfer this tape footage to a PC???????
(A cheap way without having to fork out for a converter etc...) ;)

    Cheers

If you have a DVD Recorder you can hook it up with the AV leads and record it to a rewritable DVD then edit it on the PC

Alternatively, if you can borrow an 8mm camcorder that has a "dv-out" port (NOT a dv-in one), then you can connect directly to the computer and import directly into MovieMaker etc to get it onto the computer. Saves the intermediate step of saving to dvd first.

This assumes your computer has a firewire port.
