Total time for 2000m: Dunno don't do it.
    500m/ave:I've done a 500m max in 1.29
    Male/Female:Male
    Under/Over 6ft:over
    Usual workout on the rower (time/dist/500m-ave/intervals etc):100m intervals x10. 30sec intervals x10, 500m max efforts. 1000m X4
RPE (Easy/tiring/exhausted etc): Depends on the sessions. 100m and 30s tend to be a 5 on my RPE whereas the 1000m tends to be 3 or so.
How much you use rower a week/month: twice per week.

    Interesting. What's it for?

500m in 1.29? Quick row Baz, fastest I've ever pulled is 1.33. I've never done any of those intervals you and Will seem so fond of, I must give em a go if they'll get me a 1.29 500m :pac:

Aren't you shorter than me though? Can't remember from the MMA League but probably I have 3/4 inches on you? That's an extra pull per 150m of you think about it.

Do the 10X30sec and record your distances it's a good test to see your power output. Makes for interesting reading month to month.

I train with a guy who Will also trains who has if I remember correctly done a 1.18 500m. He was on the Concept 2 records board for a while and usually while I'm panting and killing myself pulling 1000s he's having a chat to me and doing better times. He's not even a rower he's just an ergo guy. To give you an idea he does 14/15 pulls for a 150m test whereas my best is 15 and usually 16 pulls.

    Well I'm a rower! :pac:

Total time for 2000m: Been years since I did one, just under 7 mins.
    500m/ave: Best is 1.27, doing 6-8 in a row around 1.35-1.40
    Male/Female: Male
    Under/Over 6ft: Just over
Usual workout on the rower (time/dist/500m-ave/intervals etc): 3x20minute pieces, 6/8x500m, 3x10mins, 4/5x1000m... I could go on!
RPE (Easy/tiring/exhausted etc) Depends on the workout!
How much you use rower a week/month:4-5 times a week.

One thing though, if you're gonna use an ergo in the gym ffs learn some technique! I can't stand seeing people trying to row without a clue how to do it properly. :p

Yeah that's true actually. You're definitely a few inches taller. Even still, that's not going to knock off 4 seconds. Being less of a tub and being fitter will. I think I'll work on that before I start putting on the high heels :pac:

Height and weight matter a LOT on the ergo for leverage.

Back in my rowing days anyone under 18 was expected to do at least 5000m in 20 mins, and Im 5'7".

How much you use rower a week/month: 2/3 sessions a week depends on if there's a race or if the weather is nice

True but I'd imagine the fact that Barry's fitter than I am making up for more of the difference!

Total time for 2000m: 7.25 (ages ago)
500m/ave: Fastest 500 was like 1.37 after doing 5x5 back squats. Don't usually do this as standalone.

    Male/Female:Male
    Under/Over 6ft:~5'10''
Usual workout on the rower (time/dist/500m-ave/intervals etc): Generally use it as part of a circuit, I'd do the odd 2k or tabata intervals (:()
RPE (Easy/tiring/exhausted etc) I usually fall off the thing!
How much you use rower a week/month: Varies too much at the moment. could be anything from 0-3 times a month

Is this a survey or something? I used to row and I second the point about learning a bit of technique if using in the gyms...

Total time for 2000m: last one was in 2006 in about 6'32"
    500m/ave: 1'38, best flat 500m would be about 1'24"
    Male/Female: Male
    Under/Over 6ft: just under
Usual workout on the rower: 30 mins at 1'50-1'53 @22-24 spm, or 60 mins at 1'52-1'55 @ 20-22 spm
RPE ergo always kicks your ass when you neglect it, even looking at the thing makes me sweat!
How much you use rower a week/month: longest I've gone without using one is a year. Got on to do an hour easy and ended up with blisters, stiff back, stiff legs and Doms for a week!

    Total time for 2000m: 7'04
    500m/ave: 1'27
    Male/Female: Male
Under/Over 6ft: Slightly under (only found this out recently and was very upset)
Usual workout on the rower I usually go for the 500m as I really need to be in the right frame of mind to attempt a decent 2k time
RPE (Easy/tiring/exhausted etc): on a sub 1'30 500m I feel like hell, burning lungs etc
How much you use rower a week/month: Not often enough, to be honest I've only attempted the 2k a few times and the last was probably near on a year ago, I'd really like to break the 7min barrier. The last 500m attempt would have been about 4 months ago, I've no rowing background, just a keen crossfitter :)
