    hi,

I checked my DSL stat page on eircom yesterday.

it said I've used 58% of my download allowance so far.
    tonight it says I've used 66%, but I haven't downloaded anything.

could the wifi internet radio have something to do with it?

    cheers

You don't have to "download" to use your allowance. Every active Internet connection, including streaming radio, uses some of it up.

you didn't say what package you were on or what numbers (gb wise) your percentage is representing.

anything that uses the internet is going to use your allowance no matter what it is although if it's just internet radio and it hasn't been used that much then you might want to consider that someone might be using your wifi.

    why:confused:
Well if the streams were fairly high-bandwidth, then there's some chance streaming for two hours could have racked up a fair amount of bandwidth, on top of everything else you use your connection for.

    download.png

I dont use mine at all, just gaming and odd movie download.

Anybody know the deal of downgrading to 3mb?
    Any penalties?

I want lower pings, and i dont seem to break 10gb so 30 would be plenty.
3mb vs 7mb isnt much of a difference to me.
