    Is creatine any good for fat/ weight loss?

    It is marginally useful for fat loss (there was a study where non-exercisers taking creating increased metabolism by about 2% more than non users) but where it shines is it increases strength and endurance, so you can exercise harder for longer, which will definitely help fat loss.

    Is creatine any good for fat/ weight loss?

    It promotes water retention in your muscles, which if anything will make you look somewhat 'bloated'..... If losing weight is your goal then creatine is absolutely unnecessary

    If you stop taking it the water will go. So if you spent 6 months training with it and then give up you might well end up with more fat lost than if you never took it. It will enable you to lift more so you should develop more muscle which will usually result in more fat loss.

    When most people say "weight" they really mean "fat", I couldn't care less if a scale says I exert a force of 20stone as long as I do not look 20stone.

    Your diet is far more important than creatine. What's it like?

    That could be good and well for an experienced trainer, but for someone just trying to lose weight there's far easier ways to go about it.

    It will allow you to push yourself a bit harder in the gym, however this will only work if you are all ready going ballsout. If you are a lazy git in the gym it wont do anything:pac:,

    It depends on how hard you work in the gym and what your diet is.

    Post up details of:
    • your weekly gym routine
    • your diet

    If you are just setting foot in the gym for the first time the answer is probably no, you don't need it.
