McIlroy birdied 3 and 4 to move to -2 thru 6.

If McDowell and Harrington can sign for 68/69 today I think they'll be very nicely placed going into the weekend.

Mahan is in the water on 12 with his tee shot, will drop at least a shot here. And his third just now, looks like he'll be carding a double bogey here.

Scoring average is climbing up on a lot of the holes today, I'd say a 68 will be a great round.

McDowell bogeyed 14, 15 & 17 and is now back to -2, playing 18 at the moment.

Woods just bounced back with a birdie on the 8th after dropping a shot on 7, is -3 playing 9.

McIlroy is coming along nicely, -2 thru 8. Birdies on 3, 4 & 8, with a bogey on the par 4 seventh.

Anthony Kim is -5 today which is the best round so far.

McIlroy at -2 is next best (along with 6 others). If he holds this up or even better then it's been a great round.

Woods drops another shot on #9, that's birdie/bogey/birdie/bogey on #6, #7, #8, #9. He's -2 after the front nine.

McDowell signs for a 73. He'll be disappointed I'd say; two birdies and a bogey on the front nine, but then two birdies and four bogeys on the back. Bit too inconsistent.

Hunter Mahan took a triple bogey on #12, and leaves Amen Corner on -2 overall. He's +4 for his round today.

Lowest score today in the clubhouse so far is 70.

McIlroy was unfortunate to miss a birdie chance on #12, and remains on -2.

Harrington is on -2 thru 2, and Woods is on -2 thru 12, although he just put his ball into the crowd on #13.

yeah great play from rory. It would be great to see him in the mix come sunday. Tiger isn't putting too well. I think this will not be his week. The putter in the last few years has always been cold in augusta.

Live television coverage doesn't air until 4pm EST (9pm Irish), 3.30pm (8.30pm Irish) tomorrow and 2pm (7pm Irish) on Sunday, so I doubt what you're watching in Ireland is live. They're notoriously strict with their television coverage, and the international broadcasters don't get any additional footage than the US channels.

You can watch Amen Corner and #15/#16 online all day, but AFAIK the live television coverage doesn't kick off until the times above.

I went downstairs to get some lunch thinking he'd comfortably make par.

From being well up the leaderboard and playing well, Rory made a complete mess of the final 3 holes. At the last he was in the same place in the bunker as Woods. Woods used his head but Rory tried the high risk shot and paid for it.........sometimes you have to take the medicine.


Maybe tomorrow he'll recover some of the lost ground.

Hopefully someone like Furyk doesn't go bananas and shoot a <69, and the cut will be +1, otherwise McIlroy could be gone.

Oh yes it was live mate at 3.45pm on the Bbc interactive and it is still on it now.Holes 11,12 and 13 with American commentary.

Why are they so anal about the coverage,its a joke tbh?

The best you can hope for is nearly full day Amen Corner and then 2 or so hours of live coverage.It seems to be the same wordwide,your gauranteed to miss 3/4 of the players.

Yes I know that :rolleyes: As I said there's all day coverage of "Amen Corner" (12/13/14) online, and obviously it's on BBCi as well, and there's also full coverage of 15 & 16. There's no live coverage of the front 9 at all, and the live television coverage of the whole course doesn't start until the times I stated. It's all part of the Augusta rules.

Harrington just drained a huge eagle putt on #13 to go back to -3 - great move and nice time to do it. If he can get to -5 today he'll be back in the hunt nicely.

Some lovely golf from Angel Cabrera as well - up to -8 thru #14.

Rory could be disqualified for kicking the sand in the 18th......I noticed this at the time and I think he will be (unfortunate as he didn't gain any advantage but he should know the rules).
