Hate to burst your bubble but its all meat on Good Friday and Ash Wed. All good RC's will be abstaining. I on the other hand am looking forward to my McDonalds for lunch and I'm not talking about the Fillo of fish either!

I have an appointment with a breakfast roll before I hop on the train. Win.

Yeah I'm not a religious person so I'llhappily eat meat today :) No point in giving up meat 2 days a year when I don't even pray or go to church

I ate a ham sandwich at 12:04a.m. Doesn't count until you wake up today though, I'm clean :)

As you and I know, God - being the omnipotent, omnipresent and powerful being that he is, master of the universe - would be extremely offended by you eating a sausage. You are going to hell, along with all the other sausage eaters on this day.

Im eating McCoys Flame Grilled Steak crisps right now.:D If that doesnt count as meat, I'll be eating chicken later on anyway. I'd be a hypocrite to abstain from meat when I don't believe in any of it.

Or maybe God delegates sausage eating monitoring to one of his Saints or something. Who is the patron Saint of Pork? Hmmm....well Saint Adrian is the patron Saint of Butchers.

    St. Adrian.....your day has come.

I met a prophet on the street who declared red meat to be sinful only on this day. I'll therefore be plumping for a chicken dinner tonight.

Nope. And it wasn't a misintrepretation. I was using the joke of people eating sausages being evil in the eyes of God whilst also highlighting the churches prejudices against homosexual people. Well done on interpreting it correctly. :pac:

Its the biggest load of sh1te that people feel guilty about eating meat or drinking booze today. I know i dont feel a bit of it.

    Typical catholic guilt crap.

We should all go out and take to the streets, eating meat and drinking booze. We should even **** the brains off our selves as well, to further compound our defiance of this fcuking hocus pocus nonsense.

    Who's with me???????

/runs out onto road with breakfast roll, bottle of hooch and trousers around the ankles

I had a dream last night that I ate half a bacon sandwich with some kitchen roll in it, does that count??

Not being even slightly religious at any point in my life, I can't quite understand this. Is it a Catholic thing? What's the problem with eating pork?

Nothing. The OP got mixed up between not eating meat on good Friday with Judaism (not eating pork).

Traditionally Catholics abstained from meat on Fridays. These days it's just 'followed' on Good Friday.
