    Guys,

Looking to buy a new inflatable tender - not too big, two person would be fine. Any ideas where I can get a cheap one, the yacht will be on a marina mostly so I won't need to use it all the time. Second hand would be grand as well, or one of those Lidl ones if that offer ever comes up again.

Anyone ever got anything from these guys

I know nothing about them, except that they seem very light compared to these http://www.unionchandlery.ie/BOATS_AND_ENGINES/INFLATABLE_BOATS/TENDERS.html
But, maybe they are made of a super strong light modern material.

Avon are generally recognised to be the leading brand, our 30 year old one is still going very strong so the second hand market may be a good place to look for one.

Other wise, these guys (http://www.seaeagle.com/MotormountBoats.aspx) are supposed to make excellent boats and with the dollar weak against the euro, a great time to buy. Apparently they are very popular with summer camps in the US as they are very tough and will take abuse.

That would be very expensive http://www.seaeagle.com/YachtTenders.aspx
Transport to Ireland and 21.5% VAT added to it as well (and maybe duty).

For the yacht tender model it is, but the motor-mount is much more palatable.

Cheaper local option again is this this one http://inflatables.apolloduck.ie/feature.phtml?id=108459

    Thanks guys,

they all look fairly big though, I don't want a huge thing cluttering up the deck, or have to inflate and deflate constantly. As I said, most of my sailing is out of marinas so it'd be in use rarely.

Anyone know anything about a company Intex? Kind of leaning towards picking up something v cheap for the moment and keeping an eye out for better quality when I have more money or spot a bargain.

I bought a 2.6 mtr rib from a guy in Cork who sells them on ebay.ie .
Brand new - I got mine for 340eur delivered. Came with oars, bag, bench seat, repair kit. The same one as in Lidl for 599eur last week, but a different logo.

Will seat up to 3-4, and take up about 6hp (I think)
