    Undisputed Tag Team Championship
    The Colons(c) vs. MnM

That's all that's been confirmed so far.

Also Randy Orton is expected to get the title tonight.

Soooo, by comparison to certain Manias, how does this one rate? 6 votes

Wrestlemania 17 level of awesomeness! (must see!)
    0% 0 votes
Wrestlemania 15 level of filler, barely enough killer (wasn't the worst!)
    0% 0 votes
Wrestlemania 25 level of mediocre (I'd rather watch Mania 9 on repeat than this!)

As mch as i hope this happens and think it should have happened yesterday it really makes no sense now, HHH got his revenge and defended his title why put it on the line now against Randy again? and obviously i mean storyline wise so HHH not wanting to lose at mania cant be used to make this make sense

Dear god, I wish i could ban people from putting up unreliable sources trying to pass it off as fact, i really do!

Sadly we'd have very few posters if I did. :(

i think seeing as they made such a big deal out of the "if hhh gets DQ'd he loses the title" last night....orton will demand a rematch seeing as HHH should have been DQ'd after he used the sledgehammer....or something like that!

I suppose but it is still a much cheapened win if it happens compared to what coulda been.

Isnt Raw being taped tonight? Texas is a few hours behind the East Coast so to go live at 2am itll be recorded earlier, or just go live at like 6pm like Wrestlemania did

Thats good, thats very good. Love it if he beat HHH and then Punk beat orton (not going to happen)!

I am not sure how much they can do tonight, draft next week, tour the following week and then backlash, the writers will be all over the place regarding how to proceed with storylines.

I don't know, i can be confused with time zones so correct me if i'm wrong. If was to be recorded, the show would have to be held very early in texas (Lets say 4pm) to be shown here at 2am after recording.

Time has caught up with the world now, normal times for RAW will be 2am once again, unless it ends up being a 3 hour special. :)

Plllllease dont let Orton get traded next week, although if Edge gets traded to Raw and Cena goes to SD I'll be a happy camper

The Raw after Mania is usually good, dunno where things will go tonight though

Shawn and Taker to get a standing ovation tonight anyway, Shawn at least dunno if the cross branded stuff will continue

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,006 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

Orton will probably come out tonight and demand a re-match, he may even win the title tonight. But to be honest who gives a fúck now? The time for orton to win the title was at mania. I dont give a shít if he wins the title tonight, it wont mean as much as it could have. If orton goes on to be champ tonight it will just go to show how selfish triple h really is, in that he is not willing to put over a younger talent in the main event at wrestlemania.

By orton losing at mania, it basically killed any momentum he had. It made legacy look a complete joke, as they have helped orton on so many occassions yet when it mattered they were nowhere

As much as I love Orton, his time was Wrestlemania

gotta assume itl continue with the draft only next week and backlash not far off especially if anyone who is going to be drafted is gonna be involved in a backlash match i.e Cena is for sure to still be on both brands as he is a raw guy but SD champ, although id say HHH is already done on SD unless he goes to the next one as a goodbye appearance.

Both of whom earned it, and a lot more because had it not been those two, and Steamboat and Jericho's portion of the legends gauntlet. This PPV was on below Wrestlemania IX level of mediocre, as opposed to the Mania 15 level of mediocre that it currently sits at.

I thought Steamboat was amazing last night, just shows how much of a genuine talent he was his last proper match was,at least 15 years ago? and he wrestled like he's still an active roster member last night

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 18,518 Mod ✭✭✭✭DM_7

Wondering what to expect from RAW. Here is what we had last year after mania. http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2008/articles/1207022381.php

    Flair send off
    Orton beats Matt Hardy
    Jericho beats Punk
Return of Cryme Time defeating Cade and Murdoch
Maria beats santino after all divas interfere
Kendrick and London defeat holly and rhodes

Hopefully he will make more on screen appearances starting tonight.

    Slam Wrestling
Steamboat before His Return to the Ring: "I haven't changed my preparation that much," Steamboat said regarding the handicap match aainst Chris Jericho. "I still get into the ring and work out with the guys, I have been since 1994, I know I am not the Dragon that I was 15 years ago, I am probably about 80 percent of what I was."

Steamboat added, "I can still move pretty good and hit the ropes and come off the top. I feel good about myself. I've been asked about being embarrassed but I am very comfortable. I don't know long I will be able to go in this match, thank goodness I have help from Snuka and Piper, but personally I feel good about it."[/FONT]

Pretty much, last match of his i remember was the one with Steve Austin at the 1994 Bash At The Beach. Awesome match too. It's on his What? DVD that came out around 2001-2002.

That entire PPV was pretty awesome too, it was also the PPV that finally delivered Hogan/Flair for the first time on PPV.

The way i see it is if there was any way of keeping the feud going it would have been if HHH won and then have the heel turn by Shane or Steph after so they can run it into backlash.

If Orton had've won at mania then that would have been that.

    Steamboat! :D

Randy recovered a lot faster from the punt than everyone else that got it. HHH must have marshmallow feet in comparison.

    Orton is on fire.

The RKO chants, and boos for him not getting a title shot are hilarious.

if he comes to help mcmahon, It'll suck to high heaven.

if he comes to join Orton, I can't see it being anything but awesome. :)

That would blow because it was Ortons punt who put him on the shelf. Some stupid ****wit was shouting wifebeater at Orton:eek:
Their was huge RKO chants when Orton was speaking as well.

I was hoping that tonight Shane and Vince would raise HHH up in the air, then Randy comes out, thumbs down then 3 on 1 whippin'.

M&M look naked walking out without the belts

Preordered the blu ray. €22 on silvervision with the current sterling exchange rate. Will be worth it for the HOF alone. :)

This isn't a good thing though. The last time HHH got booed and the crowd cheered for Orton with a title reign in the midst was 2004. When they hastily turned Orton face.

We know HHH can work heel, better than he can work face. But Orton is a terrible face, he really is. WWE hit the panic button too quickly in times like these.

If I was Orton, I'd be very worried about now.

he really does doesent he. remember how people felt about the legends match before mania, atm id be happy to see Steamboat vs Jericho at Backlash not that i expect it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,602 ✭✭✭✭ShawnRaven

I know i touched on this on the Mania thread.
But i really couldn't be happier for Steamboat, again because of Vince's sh*tty treatment of him in 1987 and in 1991. Goes to show that Steamboat has been the bigger man to not only come back and be a road agent for the company years later, but also play a huge part in salvaging the abortion that this years biggest show of the year is supposed to be.

Not only that but since he pretty much retired 15 years ago, it means the generation of fans that came around after me could get to experience the awesomeness of Steamboat live.

    Ah, brings a tear t'the eye. :)

OY! I was all for it! Although i actually thought Piper would be the one who would steal the show.

That said, i understand where you're coming from. A lot of people sh*t all over the prospect of the legends gauntlet. Cos Jericho v Mickey Rourke would have brought you that level of awesomeness!

Jericho v Flair sure as hell wouldn't have done it, not to that degree.

Exellent finish to that. Steamboat ran a close second to taker and HBK last night. Amazinly impressive for an old timer
