    PayPal question regarding information..

I want to send a request for money, I was wondering what information is included in the request ?

    My name ?
    My Address ?
    Or just my email .?

And also if someone sends me money, what information do I get?
when I accept the payment what information do they recieve?

Why am I asking this, well I want to send a request and more importantly receive a payment, through my email, which is linked to another PAYPAL accound owned by my partner, but I dont want any information about my partner showing on either transaction.. the money would still go into my partners account..

hya, tried to send 77 euro to someone in China to a email address from a 3v voucher bought for 80 euro through Paypal, it said payment was denied, I don't know who denied this payment, the money is not showing up on my 3v account, I telephoned paypal (hard enough to do) and they told me 3v would have denied the payment, have tried contacting 3v, apparently they close for lunch, the person in China I tried to send the money to had sent me an email with another email link to pay through paypal, so now do not know where money is, can anyone help?, I am now trying to pay and its telling me my bank cannot support this purchase????

    Thanks.

I recently signed up for paypal, I have a 3V card and topped it up by 20 euro. I seen that you can use 3V when using paypal so I tried it. I confirmed my card and it charged 1.50 euro and it got put into my paypal account when I confirmed it. I am now wondering how do I add the rest (17.50 euro) to my paypal account from 3v. Im trying to send a gift but it says not enough money.

    Thanks

Yeah that will work, done it before when I had a few euro left on a 3V card.

However let's say you send €10,your account will end up with abit less due to fees sending between the 3V account and your second account.

You'll pay fees for sending the money both times, which could end up costing you quite a bit.

If it's to save on the fee that 3V charge you for transferring money to another voucher, then you'll probably end up spending even more. If you want to get cash in your Paypal account, then you can do with through the bank, just takes about a week.

So the bank transfer actually works? i thought Irishusers of paypal were having problems

You have to register Paypal as a recipient with your phone/Internet banking, then you can transfer money to them. If you make any mistake with the reference number, the money will go into Limbo for quite some time, so there can be problems with it.

Anyone else having trouble logging into PayPal? Haven't been able to do so since the early hours. It's saying that the webpage is unavailable.

I'm still having trouble accessing the site. Getting this message on login:
    Error 205 (net::ERR_CERT_UNABLE_TO_CHECK_REVOCATION): Unknown error.

Any ideas? I'm trying to transfer payment to a lad at the minute.

@ Fizman - If you can try from a different PC and or another PC using a different connection provider (ISP). If you can't do that at least clear your internet cache, I've found I get small issues creeping in with both eBay and PayPal if I leave my cache for months without a clearout, that would be with Windows Explorer (7&8) with many versions of Windows operating system. The problem does sound PC related. Also with https always make sure your computer time is set correctly or you won't get a connection or it will time out very quickly.

Try online banking or another site that needs https, the same error would indicate the problem is with your computer.

Best I can come up with atm ;)

Ya worked fine from a PC in work so obviously something relating to my current config on my own one. I'll have a proper look at it later to see what's up.

It didn't cost me anything when transferring from AIB to PayPal. I used one of the kiosks inside the bank to transfer the money. I just sent more using internet banking so hopefully there's no charge there either.

Thanks for that. Just completed a transaction. It's really swift too. Took 2 days to transfer. It's really handy, as it deters the use of credit cards for online purchases and their exorbitant fees for using them, and it's much better than 3v, as that's a really messy way to conduct transactions online.

Well if you bank online, just go to the money transfer option that your bank provides. Then use the Paypal account details that are provided on their site and enter those as the recipient of the funds(you'll find the account details when you log in and go to the "top up account" tab)

Oh, and don't forget the reference number provided for your specific Paypal account. It identifies you as the account holder.

Should you forget it, it just takes a few days longer to sort out the transfer.

It should then be in your PP account within 2-3 days.

I'm verified too and my a/c is virtually empty but I don't bother topping up my a/c anymore and when I want to pay by Paypal they just ask me if I want to xfer just enough funds from my bank a/c to cover the cost of this purchase. Funtastic:D

Paypal will only allow you to use one payment source at a time, so the money would need to be on one 3v voucher.
you *could* ask the seller would it be OK if you sent 2 seperate payments to cover the item... but i would not recommend that to you as a buyer nor to a seller if they were asked that question.
If you sent the money directly then neither you nor the seller would be covered under any protection from Paypal (unless you could send a 50 euro payment marked against that ebay item (but i think you have to pay it all at one time)).

you could spend the 2e or what ever it is on 3v.ie to merge the two vouchers into one... if both of them are on your account.

I've done this a few times, perfectly safe. Just make sure the reference number you gave to BOI is exactly the one that Paypal gave to you. Any error there and your payment will go AWOL, possibly for quite a while. Once you triple check that, it's just a matter of doing a payment from 365Online.

It takes 4 or 5 days to go through, depending on the time of day you initiate the transfer. Since it's passed close of business for today, this might not count as day 1, so it would be Friday before your funds are available.

    Thank,

Do you do the transfer via basic 'money transfer' or 'international money transfer'?

also, how do they match up the accounts, is it just name or name and address.

Does this mean that you can transfer money from paypal account to your bank account. Vice versa.

If so how do you do it.

Hey I have yet another question about the fabulous internet sensation that is PayPal ().

I set up a PayPal account recently and was doing a sort of mock purchase with it. So it seems that I have to add a credit/ debit card to my PayPal account in order to make an instant purchase. I got the following message:
To complete this payment, add a debit or credit card to your PayPal account. Your card will not be charged unless the transaction amount exceeds your balance

Now the problem lies in the fact that I don't actually have a credit/ debit card, rendering my PayPal experience rather useless it seems. Can you not just link your bank account onto your PayPal account and then be able to make instant purchases online?

This has always been possible. You just withdraw your money to a registered bank account.

    No.
