The lad craig ballantyne came up with a training method called turbulence training which is kind of a mix of plyometrics, strength and HIIT. Supposed to be very effective but don't think its too well known this side of the pond.

came up with - more like put a name on!!

Craig markets himself as the 'new' 'best' way - nothing new there he just put a name on it.

I agree you can't out train a bad diet - all the people that are in amazing shape have habits and training that they do which others looking to get in shape won't.

Needs more context, you can check out his site. Essentially his point of view is that cardio is pretty pointless on its own, i.e. without addressing diet first - also that intensity is key. Always talks about the 'cardio confessional' - where people will splurge on junk food and then tiptoe back guiltily to the treadmill!

Cardio is all about making the heart work, increasing heart rate, can be done with supersets, heavy compounds, doesnt have to be just running:pac:

for example today i started dumbbell bench, my next compound was going to be BOR,. so instead of doing a set of benching then resting, i supersetted my heavy benching with a light set of BOR.

this way as soon as i had finished my last set benching i moved straightover to heavy BOR, keeping intensity up, causing me to sweat like a pig in a sauna:pac:

You can outtrain 20% junk food if 80% of your dietary intake is pretty healthy. That's if you train regularly enough and properly. Your increased metabolic rate will allow for it. All things, especially junk food, in moderation basically. Crap video.

Yes, but the point is that people can think they don't have to make the dietary changes they need to make if they just go to the gym once or twice a week - that's who the vid is aimed at.
