New tv series starting this sunday the 5th of April on RTE 1 at 19:30
States it is a documentary covering some of the most dramatic rescues/incidents in ireland.

Should be a good show by the sound of it.

You can watch online @ http://www.rte.ie/tv/rescue/index.html

    ;)

Why do the crew have to wear those street-cleaner type get-ups? It looks like they've got drysuit seals on the wrists - are the hi-vis worn over proper drysuits? Surely they could've modified them in some way to look more like proper uniforms!

    It is what it's.

Thats a picture of Doolin Coast Guard Team...good bunch.

They are wearing boiler suits which have a black cloth wrist cuff. This is the standard issue operational uniform for land operations like searchs/cliff rescue etc.

    Was an interesting story.

Some very brave people from the Gardai Water unit, Irish Coast Guard and local Sub Aqua unit.

I though it was a very good episode.
Gives joe public an insight into what ES services do (both full time and part time) and how inter agency co operation works so well.
Looking forward to next weeks episode.

Another good episode tonight. Incident was closer to home for many reasons. Sad day that was. Shame they never mentioned the memorial on the prom that was erected for them.
