    Hi All,

Looking for some feedback from the above insurance company please, I have searched on boards but all the posts are well out of date at this stage (2007). Are any of you insured with its4women or know anyone who has experience with them (good or bad)? There is a substantial difference between my current insurance renewal and this company but I want to check how good they are before I get involved.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.
    Cheers

I assume the insurance is underwritten by one of the bigger companies??

For example, AIB home insurance is actually AXA, I know you are talking about car insurance but the principle is the same.

Why not email them and ask??

I would also recommend giving Mcsharry Foley in Sligo a call also, they are a nationwide broker.Got a deal from them SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than any other price I was quoted, and it's with a reputable insurer.

Hope this is of some help!

    MR

I'm with them since last year.

No problems, but haven't had to claim against it. they're underwritten by AIG Ireland at the mo.

If it's underwritten by AIG, then go for it. It would be AIG who would deal with a claim. It's just like 123.ie who don't sell their own stuff, just Eagle Star products.

its4women.ie will discriminate against you for not being married, even if your 40!! A 22 yr old with less experience, less no claims etc will get cheaper quotes if they are married regardless of car/engine size. And I was told that by operator only today!!

That site was 10-25% more expensive quote wise for me than every single one of the ten others I got quotes from.

Generally the same when getting a loan. They would have statistics to back up that married women are less risky than their single counterparts, regardless of age.

That may be true, but with companies like Axa and Alliance we're all equal and the rate doesn't go up because you choose not to marry, its just a warning to single women, try elsewhere first, you may be overcharged with its4women.ie due to your lack of a ring!! I got quoted €374.07 as a singleton and €310 married!?! I ended up going with Axa at €326, so ring around if your single.

Maybe they should rename it to its4marriedwomenreally.ie!

I've been with its4women for the last two years and have had no problems. They may charge me more for being single than if I was married, but they were cheaper for my details than any other insurer on both occasions....actually I think this is my third year with them.
I never knew it was more expensive to get insurance when single......easy know I'm not married....must go find a man....but that's OT for here!!!

I have to say that I will never ever insure with this company ever ever again. The hardship I had this week to get my car insurance transfered to another car while my own was in the garage for repairs was just unacceptable. They also charge you €30 to do this !! I was told on the phone -when I did eventually got a reply that it would be €20. God love anyone that would need insurance transfer in a hurry. I certainly would not recommend 'Its4woman' to anyone.please learn from my mistake.
